He Can Raise Children As Well
It brings terror and sadness to a child. It can completely destroy a kids childhood and
their relationship with their parents. At one point in their lives everything can be flipped upside
down and depending on the age they may have no idea why. Many people often face divorce and
the biggest conflict often involves the child. The mother will often win this battle and seems the
most fit in taking care of the child. While the title of being a mother quickly can take advantage
of a family facing a divorce, the father is left without any chances in proving that he can raise
that child. But, who’s to say that the father can’t. Barbara Whitehead insists, “women provide
emotional ties between fathers and children, and without women and marriage, men must
overcome substantial obstacles in eliminating the negative stereotypes with unmarried fathers.”.
There are many men in popular culture have great traits of a good father and even a mother;
moreover, from personal experience, I can say there are fathers who are caring and suitable
enough to raise a child alone even more than a mother.
Mothers are often seen as one of the most influential factors to a child growing up. But
her presence in the family is what makes her seem that the dad is useless or unfit at raising the
child. I’ve seen many children without mothers being raised by their dad who also took the role
of the mother. This lead to the children never having any regrets of not having a mother or even
letting that affect their lives. I had relatives whose wife had passed away and the father had to
take care of the child as if the mother was still there. But it was very possible because he took
care of the kids by looking through their eyes and seeing how they would feel with no mother.
Every time I would see the family, they were always happy and the kids respected and love their
dad. If anyone looked at the children they would have no idea that they had no mother. This is an
example of what a flourishing family can look like even without a mother. The important part is
that even if the mother isn’t there her role is still there in the family. This can happen because of
a committed father who is willing to engage himself with his children.
There are many fathers and children from popular culture who also had families where
there was no mom and they had a perfectly happy life. Prince Harry, who is sixth in the line of
succession to the British throne, was raised by a single father. His parents divorced in 1996 and
the next year his mother died in a car accident in 1997. Harry was only 12 at the time of his
mother's passing. He is now married and has a happy life, but he didn’t let his single father affect
the way he grew up. He remembers how affectionate his dad was and how he wanted the best for
him. There are many other celebrities who raised their children as a single father including
Christiano Ronaldo, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Johnny Depp. These fathers all gave the same
love and care to their children as if they also had a mother. Their children were raised with no
regrets of having no mother and they proved to have a bright future.
Kids without mothers may seem likely to have a rough childhood. But the same can go
vice versa. It is not impossible for a single dad to raise children. Kids can have a wonderful life
with only a dad. Prince Harry’s mother died when he was 12 and he had a childhood full of joy
with his supportive dad. He is sixth in line to the throne of England and he is prepared and ready
to take the responsibilities of a king. I’ve seen kids being raised by a single father and the father
had to improvise and take the responsibilities of a mother to ensure that the kids had a life no
different than a child with a mother. I’ve seen many kids where their happiness is covering the
truth of them not having a mother because of a committed father. What if these fathers were
never given the chance to raise their child simply because of the term of a single dad, their kids
surely wouldn’t be happy.
