Rotten Robbery

EXT. DARK STREET – MIDNIGHT

Lewis is walking down the street in the middle of the night and realises that he is being followed. He starts walking faster as he sees
someone in front of him. He walks up towards the person and tries to get help.

Lewis

Excuse me buddy I think I’m being followed by that weird bloke behind me could you help me?

The guy that he Lewis approached pulls out a knife.

Homeless man Sam

Speaking with a stutter.

Of course I can help with emptying your pockets! Hand over your wallet and phone.

Lewis

Oh no. What’s that hell is this smell?

Moments later the guy who was following Lewis starts arguing with the other robber about how he saw this victim
first. He also pulls out a knife however he points it at the homeless man.

Bandit Jerry

Hey leave him alone I saw him first he’s mine!

Clinches his fists and waves his knife aggressively.

Homeless man Sam

I need his money more than you, back away!

Bandit Jerry

Oh yeah? How do you need this money more than me I need my crack and heroin. Do you know how long I’ve been sober for?

Homeless man Sam

Listen here both of you, I’m the one with the longest shank here so you two have two options, either hand me the money and I
don’t kill both of you or I kill you and then take your money. I haven’t brushed my teeth in 8 god damn years…

Lewis

Did you just say u haven’t brushed your teeth in 8 years? So that’s where that stink is coming from.

Both Lewis and Bandit Jerry start laughing.

Bandit Jerry

I think he just baited himself out ha-ha. Now I feel bad for this guy. I think you should give him the money he actually needs it what
a whip.
Lewis takes his wallet out and passes over a fat stack of money to the homeless man.

Homeless man Sam

You haven’t been in my shoes you don’t know what it’s like.

Random person shouting through the window

Oi! tell that idiot to shut his mouth, there people trying to sleep here it stinks so bad!

Lewis takes out a dentist card from his wallet and passes it to the homeless man.

Bandit Jerry

Take it shit breath!

The homeless man gets frustrated and loses his temper.

Homeless Man Sam

Keep your filthy money I don’t even want it anymore, I’m sick and tired of being treated like shit.

Pushes away the money but grabs the dentist card without Lewis noticing, Drops his knife and then runs away.

Bandit Jerry

Finally he’s gone, I can finally breathe. How is it even possible to have a breath that bad?

Lewis picks up the knife.

Lewis
Are you still going to try rob me?

Bandit Jerry

Nah mate you seem like a genuine guy, I’m going to find someone else to rob you have a good night mate.

Lewis

Appreciate it pal, you too.

Both of them walk off their own ways.

INT. Phone Box

Homeless man Sam

Talking on the phone with the dentist card in his hand.

Hello, am I speaking to Dr Sajed Mohammed?

Do you fix teeth?

I haven’t brushed mine in 8 years and it would be nice to get some professional help.

How much, £2000? I don’t have that kind of money!

There is a sudden knock on the phone box window.

Bandit Jerry

Hey shit breath. I got the perfect job for you.

Homeless man Sam

Oh what is it? Is there a lot of money involved?

Bandit Jerry
It’s a robbery, I’ll be the driver and you have to run into the petrol station and grab as much cash as you can. Trust
me were going to be rich, I’ll buy you an electric tooth brush.

Homeless man Sam

Wow an electric tooth brush that sounds like something from the future.

Bandit Jerry

What?

Homeless man Sam

How am I going to do it I don’t even have a gun?

They start walking off towards bandit Jerry’s car.

Bandit Jerry

I have a gun but I’m not giving you any bullets, and have some chewing gum u stink of shit mate.

Homeless man Sam

Puts a piece of chewing gum in his mouth.

Mmmmm… Strawberry mint my favourite. Okay let’s do it when it gets dark.

Bandit Jerry

Im the one with a brain here so I will tell u when u do what, now follow me to my car.

EXT. INSIDE OF A CAR, OUTSIDE OF A GAS STATION – EVENEING.

Homeless man Sam

I’m quite nervous, I don’t really know what I’m doing.

INT. CAR PARK STAIR CASE – DAY

Homeless man Sam

Jerry I’m a bit nervous I don’t know what to say when I go in.
Sadly mumbles under his breath.

Bandit Jerry

Just practice now, pretend this is X factor and I’m the judge. Start off by letting the cashier that you have a gun and
that this is a robbery.

Homeless man Sam

Heavy stuttering as he speaks.

This is a r-r-robbery give me the… wait what am I stealing again?

Bandit Jerry

Huffs and looks annoyed.

Your stealing cash you idiot.

Homeless man Sam

H-h-hands u-u-p! This is a money r-r-robbery give me the money and no one gets hurt! Should I add a bitch at the end, I’ll say it like
Steve Carell, Bitch!

Bandit Jerry

That’s good enough, what sur name my partner in crime?

Homeless man Sam

Sam, what’s yours?

Bandit Jerry

Jerry, I’m from Birmingham.

Sam shakes his hand and Jerry looks at his hand, gives it a dirty stare and wipes it against his trousers.
