Classroom Prayer for Learning

The prayer before class thanks God for the day, for providing for everyone's needs, and for protecting them with love. It asks God to help the students focus their hearts and minds on what they will learn, and to inspire and guide them with the Holy Spirit as they listen, write, and discover more about the world through the class. The prayer after class thanks God for giving the opportunity to learn and understand. It asks that the knowledge gained be used not only to attain personal goals but also to benefit others. Both prayers are said in the name of Jesus.

PRAYER BEFORE THE CLASS STARTS

Dear Lord and Father of all,


Thank you for today.
Thank you for ways in which you
provide for us all,for your protection
and love we thank you.
Help us to focus our hearts and
minds now on what we are about to
[Link] us by your Holy Spirit
as we listen and write.
Guide us by your eternal light as
we discover more about the world
around us. We ask all this in the
name of Jesus.
Amen.
PRAYER AFTER THE CLASS

Lord, Thank you for giving us the


opportunity to learn and the capacity
to understand. Let our knowledge
be of service not only for the
attainment of our goals but also for
the benefit of others.

We ask all this in the name of Jesus.
