For my Service Learning Experience, I recreated the Garinger Rambler, which is the Garinger

High School newsletter, and wrote articles going against the stereotypes at Garinger High

School, I presented an article in class about racial profiling and I also conducted a survey about

racial profiling. For the Garinger Rambler I renovated the theme of the page making it easier to

navigate items. The first articles I wrote was about The Block. The Block started out as this area

on campus that was old looking and no one made no use of it so the Leadership Development

class came us with an idea. We renovated the whole entire area adding flowers, trees, an outdoor

area that has benches and gravel, a zen garden, volleyball net and soccer goals. We also have

seperate games such as giant jenga, and giant connect four. The other articles I wrote were about

the seniors at Garinger High School and their achievement and accomplishments in the four year

they have been here. They did so much for Garinger High School and they deserve to get

recognize for all that they have done. Writing these articles showed that Garinger High School is

not full of ghetto kids who doesn't care about their education and their life. With the article I

presented in class I presented about someone who was living life but not living it freely because

he was racially profiled everyday. This help my classmate learn more about what is going on

around the world and around them. The last thing I did for my service learning experience was

that I conducted a survey. I created a survey about racial profiling, which I shared on social

media platforms and personally sent it to people. I also took time to read each and every one of

their replies, comments and opinion. Doing these Service Learning Experience helped me see the

world at a different perspective, opened my mind, and spread awareness.
