Offline MFM Color Coding Process

Color coding has been implemented for products in offline mass flow meters and pipelines based on the last product's density, rather than the current incoming product, to properly store the right product at all times and avoid blending of incorrect products. This color coding will also help ensure the offline mass flow meters contain the expected product by checking for the right color before an interface between products arrives. The pipeline is also color coded to distinguish line fill that includes any interface.

Color coding for product in offline MFM

Type: Process Improvement

Carried out by:

Color coding of product in offline MFM (Mass Flow Meter) & pipeline
has been done basis the last-density in the said MFM & pipeline
instead of ongoing product in receipt to help facilitate storage of
proper product during all times and to avoid blending of wrong
product stored in offline MFMs. This will also help in taking the
offline MFM in receipt before arrival of interface if any product other
than desired product is stored in it. Line fill with Interface is also
included with separate colour code.
