To my greatest achievement, an achievement that has an honor not just in my

heart but also a representation of who I am. My sophomore year of high school I was

assigned a PBL Showcase Project. The project had to be related to the community and

how we can improve our city. While days have passed and a deadline approaching, I

began to realize, how can we help the community if we don’t help the people in the

community. College students go through an enormous amount of change, from leaving

what they call home to traveling to a new city. Every student doesn’t have has the

capabilities of paying off college, most students depend on financial aid to pay off their

school. With having an issue of paying off college, how will they have enough money to

pay for their rent, meals and essentials? My project was based on giving these students

a helping hand. Fundraising was a challenge but it a challenge that had to be met. A

food sale to just my family members was a great idea I came up with, profiting over

$200 dollars. After managing the profits earned, I was out making sure I had a list of

what every student may need. A popular item was shaving supplies as well as

notebooks. After finishing off this project was a successful end story, it made me realize

what I enjoy doing. I enjoying helping other when I have the opportunity. Although I had

the encouragement of the project being an assignment, I felt accomplished. “You may

not change someone's life but you may leave an impact on a person's life”, is a lesson I

learned through this whole entire project.
