Macbeth's Downfall Reflection Sheet

Assignment Title: Q1 Mid-Unit: Macbeths Downfall

Student Writing Goal: My goal was to express Macbeths downfall and show what it took to get him there

Instructions:
1) Re-read the paper (and teacher feedback).
2) Complete this reflection sheet.
3) Revise the paper accordingly and highlight any changes.
4) Submit the revision and this reflection sheet.

What was the purpose of this writing assignment?


The purpose of this writing assignment was to show how the character developed into the man he became.
Many times throughout the story Macbeth was manipulated mentally and eventually became an overpowered
confident king which showed us how he was manipulated

How did you perform in relation to the expectations of the writing rubric?
I feel as if my paper could have done a lot better if I had taken more time to get a better point across. I didn’t
do as well as I could of because I was the paper could have used a look over to make sure it was all good. I
had procrastinated and got it done last min.
What aspect of this piece did you do well? (give example/quotes to support claims)
I really like the fact that I go through and clarify that manipulation played a key role in the story.

Why have you/haven’t you chosen to revise this writing assignment?


I revised this assignment because my essay needed to be cleaned up and organized. I will not be using this for
my extended essay because I like my senior paper better

What will you do better in your next writing assignment, and how will I do it?
After looking over my work now and reflecting on this piece, I was not focused. I did minimal work just to
get the job done and get a grade. However, I see that if I just put a little more time into it not only will I get a
better grade but it will come together a lot better. I will make sure that I stay focused on the prompts on all of
my essays to do a better job.
