ABSTRACT

Dust collector angle grinder


An angle grinder, also known as a side grinder or disc grinder, is a handheld power
tool used for grinding (abrasive cutting) and polishing. Angle grinders can be
powered by an electric motor. The motor drives a geared head at a right-angle on
which is mounted an abrasive disc.

Angle grinders may be used for removing excess material from a piece. There are
many different kinds of discs that are used for various materials and tasks, such as
cut-off discs (diamond blade), abrasive grinding discs, grinding stones, sanding
discs, wire brush wheels and polishing pads.

It is also used in furniture to make the smooth surface for polishing the furniture.
While smoothing of surface it produces tremendous amount of dust which is hard
to bear for an operator. It is hard to operate the angle grinder by making low
visual contact due to dust. It can also make the operator medically unfit by
breathing the dust full air.

So we students want to redesign it and create a new angle grinder which traps all
the dust coming out from the surface while operating it and make easy for an
operator to operate it and let the operator to breathe fresh air.
