 The Anyenasu - Kumasi Film Festival is an
annual film festival held in Kumasi, Ghana
West Africa . It showcases independent,
international, feature, documentary and

conversations. Our goal is to further the
discussion on topics that plague our
communities in Africa and Around the World.
Founded by Madam Dawn Sutherland and
Madam Makresha Reneau of Hollywood,
California, it the first film festival in Kumasi .
KFF is run by the non-profit organization
Bridge To Africa Connection, which since
2014 has also impacted and changed the lives
of thousands of Women & Children
throughout Ghana.
The festival began as a concept from Madam
Makresha Reneau and has taken on a life of
its own. The KFF 2019 will mark a
longstanding change to the people in Kumasi
and we hope it will expand in range and
evolve for years to come.

Wiafe Ababio Sanwansa this film
shows how a Queen Mother of a town
in Asante is facing a stiff opposition
from her Abusuapanin to select a
Chief for the town.
 The Burial Of Kojo follows the story of
Esi, as she recounts her childhood and
the tumultuous relationship between
her father, Kojo and her uncle, Kwabena.
After Kojo goes missing on an illegal
mining expedition with Kwabena, Esi
embarks on a magical adventure to
rescue her father.

Africa Film Society seeks to preserve and promote

Africa's rich cinematic legacy while cultivating new
filmmakers and nurturing an audience for their
work. Our mission is to EMPOWER, EDUCATE and
ENCOURAGE the art of filmmaking on the African
continent as a means of telling our stories. We
intend to launch the Africa Film Fund in 2017 to
give African filmmakers the resources to create
uncompromising work and amplify their voices

circumstances. It’ shows the resilience and
growth of children who are given a voice and a
chance to move in their natural gifts. The short
also features Women from the Diaspora
discussing their experience in Africa and how
they can make a difference to enhance the lives
of Children so that they can teach their village
and peers how to move in excellence and have
self-confidence.
