We did a project on Dallas Skyline and wanting to get a
job, But in order to get it, we had to make a skyscraper
out of specific materials and specific amounts of them.
This topic was very odd and fun to do and I enjoyed it a
lot. I have done projects similar to this but not exactly the
same thing. Even though I didn't pick the project I found it
very entertaining. The people I worked with was also very
helpful throughout the whole project. Overall it was a fun
experience and I wouldn't mind doing another type of
project similar to this one.
1.
The goal that was set up for my project was to try and
get a job at Dallas Skyline. The project wouldn't have
been completed without a whole team of people. They
were very cooperative and nice during the whole project
which led to a very good result. The resources we were
able to use was spaghetti sticks, yarn, tape, and one
marshmallow. The most useless object was the
marshmallow, what really came in handy was the scotch
tape. The printed resources I used were easy to obtain
and were very easy to build. We used a phone to look up
the pictures that we found. We didn't use any human
resources to make the tower we just used the online
sources. What we did was take 2 online pictures and
combined them together. We made our choices by
looking at which one was more easier to make and not as
difficult to accomplish and whichever one would be more
sturdy.
2.
What we did to accomplish the project was. We
worked together to figure out how to make it stable and
the height we wanted it to be. There wasn't really any
problem that stopped us from making the model overall it
was pretty easy. We also altered the tower to be a combo
of both the pictures we had. The turn out of the product
was very good and super stable. We altered it once. I
would give it 80% because I expected it to be a bit taller
even though it did reach the height point of 6in. It also
took up a lot more resources than I imagined it would
since it was shorter.
3.
I learned that it was a lot better to work with people
since it was a bunch of different mids brainstorming and I
thought it was nice how everyone could come to one
agreement of what we wanted to do. I feel like the whole
group was involved in something and we all had a part. I
needed to develop a more open mind so I could be
accepted to all types of ideas or disagreements. And next
time maybe I could be more communicative toward the
group. Everyone should have done their job and part and
everyone did and the final product overall was very
pleasant. The group was very wholehearted and it was a
good experience to also get to know people better and
their opinions.
