Common questions

Manually adding the WFM-Employee Link shortcut allows users more control over the process, potentially avoiding complications with pre-set configurations or enrollment issues associated with the App Catalog . However, the App Catalog installation method offers a streamlined experience, consistent updates, and adherence to organizational compliance and security protocols . While manual installation can be quicker and bypass certain mobile management constraints, it might lack the integration benefits and centralized management provided through the App Catalog.

On iOS devices, users can add a shortcut by opening the link in Safari, selecting the share icon, and choosing 'Add to Home Screen' . On Android devices, users must open the link in Chrome, access the menu by selecting the three dots in the top right, and then choose 'Add to Home Screen' . This highlights the platform-specific approaches to interacting with browser-based link shortcuts.

Clearing browser history or cache is important because it can resolve issues related to outdated or corrupted data that may affect the performance of web-based applications like the WFM-Employee Link . On Android devices, this can be done by going to Settings, selecting Apps, choosing Chrome (or the browser in use), and then selecting Storage followed by Clear Cache . These actions ensure that the application uses the most recent data available.

Users should be cautious about installing certificates in Chrome due to potential security vulnerabilities or privacy concerns, particularly if they are not explicitly required by the organization . If prompted to install a certificate while accessing the WFM-Employee Link, users are advised to select 'Cancel' . This action mitigates the risk of compromising device security or exposing sensitive information.

Resetting location and privacy settings on iOS is recommended when users encounter persistent issues with location services that affect the WFM-Employee Link's functionality. Such scenarios might arise if the application cannot access location data due to restrictive settings or if prior configurations are corrupted . This reset ensures that all privacy and location settings are restored to default, potentially resolving conflicts that hinder application performance.

It is recommended to close the browser after clocking in or out with the WFM-Employee Link to free up system resources and prevent session-related security risks . Keeping the browser open could leave user sessions active, potentially exposing sensitive data to unauthorized access if the device is unattended. It also clears memory, which might improve device performance and application responsiveness during subsequent uses.

Airwatch serves as an enterprise mobile management solution that provides the infrastructure for securely managing applications, such as the App Catalog for deploying the WFM-Employee Link. Enrolling into Airwatch might be necessary to ensure that the device is compliant with organizational policies and to facilitate seamless app distribution and management . By enrolling, users gain access to the App Catalog, enhancing the ability to deploy necessary applications effectively while maintaining security protocols.

Reinstalling the WFM-Employee Link on a mobile device is often done to ensure that the link functions properly or if the link was previously deleted. However, since the WFM 'App' is merely a shortcut to a website and not a traditional application, reinstalling it does not yield any additional benefits beyond bringing the user to the same website . This makes the reinstallation unnecessary if the link itself is not experiencing changes or if it was functioning correctly before.

To troubleshoot location services issues on iOS devices, users should ensure location services are turned on by going to Settings, selecting Privacy, then Location Services, and turning it on if it is off . Next, they may need to reset Location & Privacy settings by navigating to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Location & Privacy, entering the passcode if prompted, and selecting Reset Settings . These steps ensure that location services are properly configured for the application.

To troubleshoot issues with sending logs on iOS when using the WFM-Employee Link, users should ensure location services are enabled since these logs may require accurate location data . They can also reset location and privacy settings to ensure application permissions are correctly configured . These steps, coupled with general troubleshooting practices like ensuring a stable internet connection and verifying app permissions, help address the underlying issues affecting log transmission.
