Section 1: Rationale
‘Welly against the World’ is a short Crime film, that includes the sub-genres of Comedy and
Thriller to give the film a lasting effect on the viewer and to create depth. The film includes a
gang of 3 teenagers (main characters) by the names of Trooper, Bruiser and Dave; alongside
the group trying to save the world, they also have a local a bully named Tyreese; who is a big
fanatic of his local home town.
I am doing this type of a story, because I want to work on creation of depth with characters in my
films, so the viewer can get the correct emotion that I want them to convey, while also being
caught up within the story of the film.
Section 2: Project concept
In this short, comedy, gang film by the working title ‘Welly against the World’, we follow a group
of teenagers as they go through the struggles of living in a town called Wellingborough. On their
journeys, they are being Narrated by someone behind the camera, for the entertainment of the
viewer. As we follow the gang live through the hard town that is Welly, we find them uncovering a
mysterious government threat, that could lead to the damnation of their beloved town. And their
neighborhood bully joins them to save the beloved town, which he is a fanatic about. But will
their heroic acts lead to damnation or sweet victory?
Section 3: Evaluation
When I complete my FMP, I will reflect on my final work by comparing it to prier planning of the
project; like the created Storyboard, Script and Sound-sheet. When I have completed the
comparison, I’ll talk about the possible changes done when filming, or the stuff that we had
trouble with; explaining how we got past it.
