Inter-Frequency Cell Configuration

The UINTERFREQNCELL MO defines the neighboring relationship between a UMTS cell and its configured inter-frequency neighboring UMTS cells for inter-frequency handovers. It has relationships with the UCELL, UEXT3GCELL, and UINTRAFREQNCELL MOs, and there are limits on the number of neighboring cells that can share the same identifiers.

Description

The UINTERFREQNCELL MO defines the neighboring relationship between the UMTS cell
and the configured inter-frequency UMTS neighboring cells in the inter-frequency handover
scenarios.

Relations Between MOs

 Possible parents:

UCELL

 Relation with the UCELL MO:

o When adding a [UINTERFREQNCELL], the maximum number of for a
[UCELL]'s inter-frequency neighboring cells that have the same uplink and
downlink frequencies is 32.
 Relation with the UCELL,UEXT3GCELL MOs:
o When adding a [UINTERFREQNCELL], if neighboring cells corresponding to
[UINTERFREQNCELL] are local RNC cells, [UCELL:UARFCNUplink] and
[UCELL:UARFCNDownlink] of the central cell and neighboring cells
[UCELL] corresponding to [UINTERFREQNCELL] cannot have same values.
When adding a [UINTERFREQNCELL], if neighboring cells corresponding to
[UINTERFREQNCELL] are local RNC cells, [UCELL:UARFCNUplink] and
[UCELL:UARFCNDownlink] of the central cell [UCELL] corresponding to
[UINTERFREQNCELL] cannot have the same values as
[UEXT3GCELL:UARFCNUplink] and [UEXT3GCELL:UARFCNDownlink]
of neighboring cells [UEXT3GCELL].
 Relation with the UINTRAFREQNCELL MO:
o When adding a [UINTERFREQNCELL], [UINTERFREQNCELL] can
contain a maximum of 64 record whose [UINTERFREQNCELL:RncId] and
[UINTERFREQNCELL:CellId] are all the same. When adding a
[UINTERFREQNCELL], records that have the same
[UINTERFREQNCELL:RncId] and [UINTERFREQNCELL:CellId] in
[UINTERFREQNCELL] and are also the same as
[UINTRAFREQNCELL:RncId] and [UINTRAFREQNCELL:CellId] in
[UINTRAFREQNCELL] must meet the following conditions: The maximum
number of records whose [UINTERFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] is the same
and also the same as [UINTRAFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] is 32. When adding
a [UINTERFREQNCELL], the total number of records that have the same
[UINTERFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] and [UINTERFREQNCELL:NCellId]
in [UINTERFREQNCELL] and are also the same as
[UINTRAFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] and [UINTRAFREQNCELL:NCellId]
in [UINTRAFREQNCELL] is 256. When adding a [UINTERFREQNCELL],
two cells with the same uplink and downlink frequencies, frequency band
indexes, and scrambling codes cannot be the same inter-frequency neighboring
cells of the same cell.
 Relation with the UCELL,UEXT3GCELL,UINTRAFREQNCELL MOs:
o When adding a [UINTRAFREQNCELL], if neighboring cells corresponding to
[UINTRAFREQNCELL] are local RNC cells, [UCELL:PScrambCode] of the
central cell and neighboring cells [UCELL] corresponding to
[UINTRAFREQNCELL] cannot have same values. When adding a
[UINTRAFREQNCELL], if neighboring cells corresponding to
[UINTRAFREQNCELL] are neighboring RNC cells, [UCELL:PScrambCode]
of the central cell [UCELL] and [UEXT3GCELL:PScrambCode] of
neighboring cells [UEXT3GCELL] corresponding to [UINTRAFREQNCELL]
cannot have same values. When adding a [UINTRAFREQNCELL], records
that have the same [UINTRAFREQNCELL:RncId] and
[UINTRAFREQNCELL:CellId] in [UINTRAFREQNCELL] and are also the
same as [UINTERFREQNCELL:RncId] and [UINTERFREQNCELL:CellId]
in [UINTERFREQNCELL] must meet the following conditions: The total
number of records whose [UINTERFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] is the same
and also the same as [UINTRAFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] is 32. When adding
a [UINTRAFREQNCELL], the total number of records that have the same
[UINTRAFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] and [UINTRAFREQNCELL:NCellId]
in [UINTRAFREQNCELL] and are also the same as
[UINTERFREQNCELL:NCellRncId] and [UINTERFREQNCELL:NCellId]
in [UINTERFREQNCELL] is 256. When adding a [UINTRAFREQNCELL],
two cells with the same scrambling code cannot be configured as the same
intra-frequency neighboring cell of the same cell.
