1. Goal: To practice ta and ti ti; practice s-m

2. Objectives: SWBAT
 ID ta and ti ti in songs and patterns
 ID sounds as so or mi
 Compose and perform a rhythmic pattern
 Describe the music staff

3. Materials: s-m cards without stems; egg shakers

4. Procedure
1. Hello’s

2. So-Mi Melody Pattern Warm-Up


 T. has patterns on board; student sings one? And students guess

3. See Saw
 Sing whole song with steady beat
 Sing with rhythm tappers
 Decode rhythm at the board under hearts
 Tap and say rhythm
 Students take turn making see saws to show up and down

4. Lucy Locket (NEW!)


 T. sings new song and asks questions
 Students echo phrases with beat
 Echo with rhythm tappers
 Sing whole song with beat?

5. Palo Palo (NEW!)


 Students do dance with egg shakers!!

6. Bee Bee
 Play game to line up, if time
