Paris (Part 1)
August is a quiet month in Paris, as most of the local people leave to go on
vacation, so for the tourist, this is the perfect time to visit. We have a
wonderful deal for you at the Relais Hotel in Passy, a pretty area close to the
city center.

In August it is often very hot in Paris, but it can also rain, so in addition to your
summer clothes make sure you bring a sweater and an umbrella!

The best way to get around Paris is by Metro. It is clean and quick and
inexpensive. However, there are so many beautiful buildings and streets to see
that you should also bring a pair of good comfortable walking shoes.

Paris (Part 2)
You must visit the Louvre, of course, with its famous glass pyramids, and the
Tuilleries Gardens nearby. Don't miss a trip to the Rodin sculpture museum
with its wonderful house and garden. Montmartre is the best place to go
shopping for souvenirs, and you can also get your portrait painted there. If you
want to feel like a Parisian, go shopping in the Rue de Passy, near your hotel.
It has everything from cafés, butchers and bakeries to exclusive boutiques and
chain stores.

As for food - what can we say about French food in Paris? Just that this is one
place where you shouldn't bother with fast food. Make sure you try an
authentic French croissant - a crescent-shaped pastry that is absolutely
delicious for breakfast.
