What do understand by ‘unit load principle’?
Ans- Study of movement of material in industrial plants and warehouses, on loading and discharging platforms
and at ports and inland terminals has led to the development of unit-load principle. Unitisation is the combining of
small components (or units) of a load into a single larger unit. Unitized goods can be very simple in form-for
example, strapping or bounding together two or more boxes.
