RESEARCH METHODOLOGY

In this chapter, the researchers will evaluate the research methodology, and impart the

research design, materials, procedure, data gathering techniques, and statistical treatments of the

study.

Research Design

In this study the research method that will be used is experimental which manipulates one

variable, and control or randomizes the rest of the variables, it also includes some applied

science and conduct new knowledge. The research will be use the (maxiama____) as the main

product to get the oil to make an alternative butter. The aim of the study is to know the

significant properties of (_____________) as alternative to the commercial butter.

Materials

The researchers will used the following materials for the experimental research: at least a

1 cup of dried squash seeds (__________), mortar and pestles (dikdikan), a saucepan or stewpan,

and strainer.

Procedure

The procedures of the experiment are the following:

A. Preparations of Material

1. The researchers will use the main the product or variables, a dried squash seeds

(_______).

2. Prepare the following materials; mortar and pestles, a saucepan, and strainer.

B. Resealing the oil of (_______)


1. The researchers will use the mortar and pestles to smash the seed and produce liquid

oil.

2. After smashing the squash seed (______) boil it in saucepan using a few water until it

release golden brown oil.

C. Decantation of oil from the Seed

1. Filter the liquid oil from the seed using strainer.

D. Making Butter

1. Using bowl, mix the milk and squash seed oil until it’s separate from fat and become

butter.
