Marketing Survey Tool Optimization

This document discusses a marketing survey project called CALLUS that aims to create an online link to collect primary data from respondents through a questionnaire while simultaneously analyzing the data. The key benefits are that a separate analysis team is not required, the questionnaire and analysis tools can be debugged early on based on initial responses, and resources like time, costs and manpower are optimized.

CALLUS
MAIN OBJECTIVE: Creating a link for marketing research to collect primary data from the
research population along with the analysis at the same time.

PLAN: To create a link for marketing research in which we are not only designing questionnaire
but also creating analysis tool backend which is going to analyse every 5 filled in questionnaire
online and further analysis which is required for the research study. We are trying to eliminate
analysis team here. Instead of analysing all the surveys at end, with the help of this tool we are
analysing the data at the same time. This can help in deriving conclusions time to time about the
study rather waiting till the end.

BENEFITS:
1. Separate analysis team not required
2. Debugging the questionnaire and/or techniques of analysis
3. Separate test survey need not be done
4. Optimisation of resources
5. Reports can be generated when required
6. More accuracy

3 IMPORTANT BENEFITS:

SEPARATE ANALYSIS TEAM NOT REQUIRED:

As a regular practice, there is an analysis team that starts its operation once the
questionnaire is filled out by the users. Our proposal eliminates this team of analysts by
integrating the analysis tool with the questionnaire, so that the analysis can be done
after every fifth complete questionnaire.

The process will be as follows:

1. A questionnaire is created
2. All possible outcomes of the study are linked to the available options in the
questionnaire.
3. After every 5 completed questionnaire the analysis process starts and
generates the outcome.
4. The outcomes are displayed in the form of tables, bar charts or diagrams.

DEBUGGING THE QUESTIONNAIRE/ANALYSIS TOOL IN THE INITIAL STAGE

By studying the outcomes after every five questionnaires, we can get a fair idea of the
direction in which our survey is headed. If the outcomes are not in sync with the results
desired by us, we can make relevant changes or redraft the entire survey (if required).

The process will be as follows:

1. A set of 5 questionnaires is taken, and their outcomes are studied.

2. A comparison between the outcomes of our survey and the desired results is
done.
3. If the outcomes are not in place, the questionnaire/analysis tool can be
modified.

OPTIMIZATION OF RESOURCES
Our proposal aims to optimise all the resources that go into conducting market research.
The following points elaborate on this:

MANPOWER:
i. The manpower used in analyzing the outcomes of the questionnaire
gets greatly reduced as the analysis tool is prepared in tandem with
the questionnaire. This eliminates the need for having a large
dedicated team of analysts.
ii. As the team of analysts is reduced, so is the number of supervisors
and managers.

TIME:
i. We don’t have to wait for the completion of collection of primary
data. Data can be analysed as it is collected.
ii. In the case that the initial outcomes are not in line with the desired
results, the questionnaire can be modified at the initial stages itself.
iii. The data analysis happens in sync with the filling of the
questionnaires, which leaves us with only the interpretation aspect
of the data.

COST:
i. Less human resource is required, reduction in cost.
ii. As the errors are resolved in the initial phase of the survey, the
chances of major errors happening are very low.
