Leopards live in many parts of the world, from Siberia to Africa. They have a very
beautiful yellow skin with large black spots. They live for about 15 years and eat small mammals such
as young zebras, monkeys, and antelopes. They sleep for about 12 hours a day. Leopards are very
solitary animals. They spend most of their times alone in trees, where they wait until a small animal
passes. They jump on the animal and then drag it up into tree, where they eat it.
Like many animals, leopards are disappearing because people hunt them. They kill them for
their beautiful coats. The Sinai Leopard, for example, from Egypt, is now probably extinct.

14 Monday. When I got up, I felt ill, I went back to bed. Mum called the doctor. But he couldn’t come,
because he was ill, too.

15 Tuesday. The doctor came at 11 o’clock. He wrote a prescription for some medicine. Mum bought
in the drugstore. It was horrible. Yuck!

16 Wednesday. Dad bought me a model aeroplane. I read the instructions, but I couldn’t make it,
because the dog ate the glue. Mum took the dog the vet. I took my medicine again. Yuck!

Scoring system

In the test, each question has equal weight. if the students could answer the question correctly. The
amounts of the question are 40. So, if the students could answer 32 questions. It will write something
like this:

40 : 100 = X
X x 32 = ? (score)

(40 is total questions, to 100%)


(32 is overall percentage)

Then solve for x, which will be the percentage students received.

Start with 40, divide by 100 and then multiply that answer by 32.

100 : 40 = 2.5
2.5 x 32 = 80

Students will received 80% on the test.
