INTRODUCTION

On 20th September 2018, Structured Internship Program (SIP) had been held at Makmal
Teknologi Pengukuran dan Peralatan. The program started with a talk with the title “Industry
Revolution 4.0” by Prof. Adjung Dato’ Sr. Zulkefli Mohd Zain. It showed the reality of our
industry nowadays. There was several tasks had to be completed by us in a group.

There are many components in Industry Revolution 4.0 such as cybersecurity, augmented
reality, internet of things, system integration, simulation, autonomous robot, cloud computing,
addictive manufacturing and big data. All of the components has made our industry more advance
and worldwide due to rise of the technology. As we know for the revolution of industry, the first
industry revolution are more to mechanization, hydropower and steam power. Next, for the second
industry revolution are mass production and assembly line electricity such as cars and production
of electricity. Furthermore, computer and automation are in third revolution of industry at the age
of 20th century. For now, 4th industry revolution are to cyber physical systems.

The revolution of industry 4.0 has forecasted effects such as less waste, enables higher
growth levels, easier optimization of resources consumption, higher efficiency levels, increased
customer satisfaction, rewarding jobs and sustainable manufacturing. It makes many benefits to us
such as increase revenues, highly skilled workforce, agile business processes growth mindset,
improved decision outcomes, better quality products and greater brand value.
