Daily Temperature and Air Density Data

The document contains temperature and air pressure data from 5 days. It then shows calculations to determine the air density at 9:00am on 3 of those days using the ideal gas law. The minimum and maximum temperatures are given each day along with the temperature difference between them. The calculations use the temperature in Kelvin, air pressure in Pascals, and gas constant to find the density in kg/m3.

All values in SI and R in J / kg.K gives density in kg /m3

1st day:
T = Air temperature at 9:00 am = 10.9 oC = 273.15 +10.9 = 284.05 K
P = Air pressure at 9:00 am = 1024.7 hPa = 1024.7 *100 Pa = 102470 Pa
P/RT
102470 / (286.9*284.05) = 1.257 kgm-3

2nd day:
T = Air temperature at 9:00 am = 11.3 oC = 273.15 +10.9 = 284.45 K
P = Air pressure at 9:00 am = 1022.4 hPa = 1022.4 *100 Pa = 102240 Pa
102240 / (286.9*284.45) = 1.253 kgm-3

3rd day:
T = Air temperature at 9:00 am = 12.2 oC = 273.15 +10.9 = 285.35 K
P = Air pressure at 9:00 am = 1022.4 hPa = 1019.1 *100 Pa = 101910 Pa
101910 / (286.9*285.35) = 1.245 kgm-3
