Endocrine System Organs Overview

The endocrine system produces and secretes hormones to regulate bodily functions. It consists of several glands including the hypothalamus, pituitary gland with anterior and posterior divisions, thyroid gland, parathyroid glands, adrenal glands, pancreas, pineal gland, ovaries, and testes. These glands produce signaling molecules called hormones that travel through the bloodstream to target and influence cells and organs.
