Introduction

This report mainly investigates a suitable location for the establishment of a private educational
facility at one of the three local government areas (LGA) in Sydney City or Regional Areas such
as Ku-Ring-Gai or The Hills Shire for our client Excelsa Learning. This facility aims to target
children from 2 years old to primary school including daycare centers. Hence, we are
performing a data analysis for selecting a prime location based on a series of criteria for
developing the schools with advanced technology for the large growing population. The
underlying purpose is to make the transition easier for children moving from pre-school to
primary and also for working parents who are in right socio economic group and be affordable
to pay a substantial amount of money without worrying about transport.

Data Analysis:

The tools used for formatting data, tables and graphs are Microsoft Excel and Census Table
Builder provided by the Australian Bureau of Statistics ([Link]). This government
affiliated website assists user in extracting census data, statistical analysis and precise
geographical information through a close range map.

Local Government Areas:

We consider building a facility in New South Wales and compare three LGAs each around
Sydney region:

1. The Hills Shire in Sydney West

2. Ku- Ring- Gai in Sydney Central and
3. City of Sydney in Sydney East.

We particularly choose these regions since they are densely populated and are different from
each other in many aspects and it allows us to make wise and effective decisions. The Hills Shire
is aptly called as Sydney Hills which consists of suburbs like Baulkam hills, Castle Hills, Bella Vista
etc. People who prefer to live in secluded areas far from city and enjoy having a quaint life
would choose this place and thus making it a rapidly growing area. Ku-Ring-Gai is also a regional
area along the Pacific Highway and northern shore.
