Conceptual Paradigm of Microwave Communications System Design Connecting
province of Rizal to Bulacan
This study shows a conceptual structure of principles and processes that are
very important in designing a Microwave Communication linking the province of Rizal to
Bulacan.
In planning, it is essential to decide the specific area that the researchers will be
interconnecting and to know the purpose of transmission. Also, it is important that the
researchers are aware of the of the factors that must be considered when designing a
microwave communication system.
When the researchers have already gained enough knowledge about the design
considerations, they must choose the best location and get the exact coordinate
locations with elevation for the two sites and the corresponding highest obstruction for
each linkage. Preliminary studies for site location can be made from maps and aerial
photographs prepared by other agencies; however, the final site selections must be
made from field surveys.
Then, calculate the azimuth of the antennas, distances for every Line-of-sight
connection, distances from first points to obstruction, frequency of the antenna to be
used, antenna height and corresponding path, Fresnel Clearance and its ratio,
transmission computation and the systems reliability in percentage.
