The Van der Velden® ATLANTIC rudder is a proven design with ample
manoeuvring performance and good course keeping capabilities.
The Van der Velden® ATLANTIC rudder has no moving parts, which signifi-
cantly increases its life-span. The profile design and rudder shape can be
adapted to suit specific vessel requirements. Examples include minimising
drag and cavitation danger for high-speed vessels, or reducing noise and
vibration levels for comfort.
If you require a more advanced manoeuvring performance, Van der Velden®
Marine Systems supplies a hollow profile with a higher lift, compared to a
NACA profile. Already cost effective to purchase, the Van der Velden®
ATLANTIC rudder is also renowned for its low maintenance costs.
