Amy Rabbit

This is my very first amigurumi pattern


that I am designing and creating on my
own. I named her Amy, after one of my
childhood friends. I think all my teddies
will be named after an old/current friend
of mine and will resemble them in some
sort of way. This one is something
random I created, nothing too fancy, just
basic and simple.
Please note that this is my very first
pattern that I created. Please do not sell
this pattern off as your own, it’s here for
you to enjoy.

Materials Key
 Worsted weight yarn in  ch = Chain
Cream, Dark Brown, Black,  sc = Single crochet
Red and White – you don’t  inc = Increase
have to use these colours  dec = Decrease
exactly, you can use  ss = Slip stitch
whatever colours you wish to  BLO = Back loops only
use  F/O = Finish off
 4 mm hook  [ ] = Repeat
 Stuffing  ( ) = Total number of stitches
 12mm safety eyes per row/round
 Scissors
 Tapestry needle

Final piece should measure approximately 12”


Head
Starting with cream
1. Make a magic circle, sc 6 times into circle (6)

3. [ sc 1, inc ] x 6 (18)

Secure on safety eyes between rows 14 and 15, leaving approx. 8 stitches
between them. Stuffy head firmly and set aside.

Body
Starting with black
1. Make a magic circle, sc 6 times into circle (6)

Stuff body firmly
Sew head to body at the
neck, filling with more
stuffing as you go along
to secure the neck - stops
it from being really
floppy!

Arms (Make 2)
Starting with cream
1. Make a magic circle, sc 5 times into
circle (5)
2. [ inc ] x 5 (10)
3. [ sc 1, inc ] x 5 (15)
4 – 6 sc 15
7. [ dec, sc 1 ] x 5 (10)
Change to white here. This will be the
sleeve for Amy’s top
8 – 16 sc 10
Ss and F/O
Stuff the arm so the hand and the sleeve is nice
and firm. Sew the arm closed and squeeze the
arm so the stuffing spreads around. Attach
approx. 2 rows down from the neck (or where
you feel looks best for you)
Legs (Make 2)
Starting with cream
1. Make a magic circle, sc 5 times into circle (5)
2. [ inc ] x 5 (10)
3. [ sc 1, inc ] x 5 (15)
4. [ sc 2, inc ] x 5 (20)
5. [sc 3, inc ] x 5 (25)
6. Sc 25 in BLO (25)

Stuff the foot

Stuff the rest of the leg, and sew on to the body

Head Cap
Starting with brown
1. Make a magic circle, sc 6 times into circle

Ss and F/O
Sew onto the top of the head
Sew head cap onto the top of the head. Make sure the yarn isn’t
visible when attaching it to the head.

Ears (Make 2)
Starting with cream
1. Make a magic circle, sc 5 times into circle (5)
2. [ inc ] x 5 (10)
3. [ sc 1, inc ] x 5 (15)
4 – 10 sc 15

Sew ears to the top of the head spaced


evenly. Weave strands of wool 17” long
around the end of the head and then in a
straight line down in front of both ears.
Spread the hair so it goes around the ears,
leaving no space of the head cap showing.
Once this is done, gather the hair just
behind the ears to form a pony tail using
either an elastic band or a strand of yarn.

Embroider any extra hair details on using a


yarn needle and extra yarn used for the
hair.

Shoes (Make 2)
Starting with black
1. Make a magic circle, sc 5 times into circle (5)
2. [ inc ] x 5 (10)
3. [ sc 1, inc ] x 5 (15)
4. [ sc 2, inc ] x 5 (20)
5. [sc 3, inc ] x 5 (25)
6. Sc 25 in BLO (25)
7 – 9 sc 25
10. Sc 8, turn
11. Sc 7 in starting at the 2nd ch from
hook, turn
12. Sc 6 in starting at the 2nd ch
from hook, turn
13. Sc 5 in starting at the 2nd ch
from hook, F/O
Sew onto the bottom of the
feet, with the detail of the
curved bit is at the front
TIP: Don’t sew the curved bit on
the front of the shoe down.
After the shoe is sewn on, push
the curved part forward a bit.

Dungarees (Skirt)
Starting with red
1. Chain 36. Join up by ss to last chain
2 – 5 sc 36

If you want to make the skirt longer, add a few more rows till it’s the
right size for you

Ss and F/O
For the bottom of the skirt,
weave in the yarn all the
way round the hem – s0
make sure the F/O yarn is
long enough to go all the
way round
Weave in any stray ends

Dungarees (Straps x 2)
1. Chain 27
2. Sc 27
3. F/O
For these straps, they have been measure so the skirt sits halfway on
the body. If you wish for it to be shorter or longer, change the amount
of chains according to your doll.
Attach straps to the front first, making sure they are spaced apart nicely.
Then sew
them to the
back so they
are on top of
the other
