This is the replacement of IMS(R)-675 issued on August 30th, 2017
Option of product name was changed from “Calculated dose area product option” to “Calculated
Dosimeter option”.
The revised points are shown in RED color in this new revision below.
This is to advise you the new auto size sensing collimator, R-300 is released. R-300 is a successor of R-
30H and designed to connect with CH-200. In the meantime, we continue to sell R-30H. Please start to
promote R-300. Good luck and good selling.
Display Sample
1. Features
A) Auto filtering optimizes the x-ray beam spectrum. The auto filtering function automatically selects
appropriate filter from the three types of X-ray filter (Cu 0.1mm, 0.2mm and 0.3mm) in accordance
with preset APR of color LCD type generator. The radiography conditions can also be set manually

by the filter button on R-300. The display on the R-300 indicates the selected filter.
B) Shock proof by cushion rubber for patient safety. The perimeter of the collimator emission port is
covered with rubber to cushion the impact if a patient bumps into the collimator.
C) Area dose is calculated from collimation filed, exposure parameter settings and selected filter
information. The dose is displayed on the console at just after exposure. The filter information can
be registered by service mode and it is reflected to the dose calculation. This function complies with
IEC-3rd standard which requires either calculated area dose display or dose area product. In case
measured area dose is necessary for your area, please order optional dose area product. To arrange
either calculated area dose display or dose area product, please refer to 4. or 5. for more details.
D) Smooth Manual Collimation. The collimator leaves are motor-driven in response to knob operation,
allowing rapid operation with minimal effort.
E) Collimator leaves keep their position. After the exposure the collimator leaves do not automatically
return in the initial position. Without re-setting the collimation, it is possible to expose at the same
radiation area.
F) New simple design. R-300 is designed as rounded and friendly image. The tape measure is built in.
G) LED collimator illuminates the exposure field more clearly for accurate positioning compared to
conventional halogen lamp. Periodical replacement is not required due to long life of LED.

2. There are functional restrictions on auto filtering when R-300 with auto filtering connects to UD150
L-40E, UD150L-40F or the installed high-voltage generator,
A) Auto filtering doesn’t function with APR. The radiography conditions can be set manually by the
filter button only on R-300.
B) Auto filtering information cannot be indicated on the UD console. It is indicated only on the R-
300.
3. Regarding to APR with UD150B-40/V-40/L-40, please refer the circular of generator.
4. No insert slot for additional filter, because R-300 has auto filtering function.
5. The type of filters for R-300 with auto filtering are Cu 0.1mm, 0.2mm, 0.3mm and “No filter”. If there

is any other filter request, please contact your counterpart of IBD or IOG.
6. R-300 mounting halogen collimator lamp is still available only for some countries where product
registration should be renewed.

This is an adaptor only for fitting a dose area product
(DIAMENTOR M4) manufactured by PTW.

566-10156 Dap Adaptor(PTW) Please be sure to procure dose area product and
chamber etc. locally. Area dose information can be
displayed on dose area product. To indicate the dose
information on the generator console is upon inquiry.
Red color laser pointer can display the center point of
566-10102 Laser Pointer collimator for fine and rapid positioning to the target.

This is a rotation ring kit for R-300 collimator. You can
566-10106 Detent Assy rotate the collimator easily at 0 and +- 45 degrees by
click stop.
This displays the calculated patient skin dose value
before exposure on generator. It will not display the
566-10157 Calculated Dosimeter option distance. It is not possible to mount dose area product
and this calculated dosimeter simultaneously. (*1)
This cannot be combined with UD150L-40E/F.
(*1) It is not possible to mount dose area product and this calculated dosimeter simultaneously. On the
other hand, calculated area dose display function can be used simultaneously with Calculated dose
area product option. In this case, both patient skin dose value and area dose value shall be display
on x-ray generator control panel. You need to select one of these two values to send it to CR/DR.
In case R-300 is connected with the installed CH-200 units, please order the below item with R-300.

To combine dose area product, please procure dose area product manufactured by either VACUTEC or
PTW. The dose area product adaptor mentioned in the 2-2) option list should be ordered with R-300.

10155-01).Enable to display on generator only.
- Available to show value of area dose on VACUTEC display set separately as well. In this regard, it
cannot be displayed on color LCD panel of generator. In addition to chamber(1580015) and DAP adaptor,
it is necessary to prepare display, cable and power supply of display.

Insofar as sheet key type generator, measured area dose value cannot be displayed on the panel of
generator. Therefore it is necessary to connect chamber and VACUTEC display. Necessary items are not
