RuntimeException is a superclass of exceptions that can occur during normal Java Virtual Machine operation. It extends the Exception class. RuntimeExceptions do not need to be declared in a method's throws clause if they are not caught within the method. RuntimeException has two constructors, one with no message and one that takes a message string.

extends Exception

RuntimeException is the superclass of those exceptions that can be thrown during the normal operation of the
Java Virtual Machine.

A method is not required to declare in its throws clause any subclasses of RuntimeException that might be
thrown during the execution of the method but not caught.

RuntimeException()
Constructs a RuntimeException with no detail message.
RuntimeException(String)
Constructs a RuntimeException with the specified detail message.

RuntimeException
public RuntimeException()

Constructs a RuntimeException with no detail message.

RuntimeException
public RuntimeException(String s)

Constructs a RuntimeException with the specified detail message.

Parameters:
s - the detail message.
