COURSE OUTLINE
BUSINESS COMMUNICATION (Oral)
(BBA)
Welcome to BC (Oral)!
This course tries to polish the stuff that you have already learned in FE I and FE II through more
presentations, techniques and coaching. It's a very hands-on course which requires active
participation from the students. This course tries to combine learning with fun so that it's an
enjoyable experience for everyone (including myself! :-) ). For this reason, we not only do lots of
formal presentations (to prepare you for the professional life) but also other activities (in the form
of skits, debates, discussions etc) to improve your confidence and lessen your hesitation.
What do I expect from the students: As english language is an essential part of your professional
grooming, it is expected that in class students will communicate in english at ALL TIMES –
amongst themselves or with the instructor. Inability to do so will result in a fine (to be mutually
agreed in the class).
Course Grading:
Sessional (20%):
• Small-group discussions: 6%
• Skits: 6%
• Debate: 3%
• Attendance: 5%
Midterm (30%):
