Lesson Plan: Teaching Letter J in KG1

This lesson plan is for teaching kindergarten students the letter J/j. It will use centers/small groups and various activities. Students will watch a video about the letter, describe and write it. They will find words starting with J/j and sort pictures. In small groups, students will write the letter, find things starting with J/j, draw pictures of J/j items, and make the letter with play dough. To close, students will each write the letter on the board. Assessment will be through homework finding words in a story.
