JOB SUMMARY:
Under limited supervision perform corrective and preventive maintenance of customer installation
equipment. Troubleshoot equipment and determine cause of failures with specialized servicing tools and
perform re-connects, disconnects, converter pickups, installations and network audits as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION


 Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of customer installation equipment
 Troubleshoot equipment and determine cause of failures with specialized servicing tools and test instruments
 Perform re-connects, disconnects, converter pickups, installations and network audits as assigned
 Solve trouble tickets related with CATV equipment and performance within the established time parameters
 Operate all related test equipment to accurately troubleshoot customer problems.
 Provide support to other Choice Cable TV departments
 Maintain converter inventory and installation material for customer service
 Communicate proactively and positively with supervisor and peers to improve service quality and work
performance
 Fill in with accuracy and detail, and deliver on time all completed service orders
 Follow up of pending work orders and customers requests to ensure completion and customer satisfaction
 Other duties may be assigned

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
 Bilingual (English/Spanish), written and oral communication skills
 Ability to analyze circuit’s schematics and troubleshoot equipment problems.
 Some knowledge of CATV signal level meters, CLI meters and volt-Ohm meters preferred
 Ability to understand the divide and conquer methods in any type of trouble shooting.
 Team oriented
 Able to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure with minimal supervision
 Must be able to work different shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays
 Ability to climb poles with a ladder, lift or carry loads of 70 lbs or more
 Ability to work in high places, bucket trucks, poles, roofs, etc
 Able to work safely near power lines and electricity
 Able to work on-call duty
 Ability to communicate effectively, politely and efficiently with customers and peers
 High School diploma and electronic courses preferred
 Basic knowledge of CATV networks and its operations
 Must have a valid heavy vehicle driver’s license, and be able to drive
