Easter
People do all kinds of strange things at this time of year, a bit like Christmas! Some
sinners will actually set foot in church – how weird is that!
Some ‘Christians’ go on Easter ‘marches’ with other ECUMENICAL groups through
towns throughout this country, ‘march for Jesus’ it’s called I’m told!
People buy chocolate-EGGS for each other & go on EGG-hunts!
Like I said... STRANGE things are done by STRANGE people!
‘Good’ Friday!!!??? The day that Jesus was ‘supposedly’ crucified! TRADITION!
To a reprobate sinner, what is GOOD about Jesus getting crucified? What GOOD
does it do to a person who has no time for God? Why does he go to church to
‘celebrate’ Easter (or Christmas for that matter?)
Strange people doing strange things at strange times!
Now when we come to Christians, they’re even more strange! The ONLY time the
word Easter occurs in the Bible THEY TAKE IT OUT!!!
So in THEIR Bible PER-versions… where does it say to celebrate EASTER???
So why do it???
Tradition, brain-washing, going with the flow, worldliness, following the crowd, peer-
pressure, obeying the ‘god’ of this world who happens to ONLY be the DEVIL!!! (2
Cor 4v4)
Now the word ‘Easter’ only occurs once in the AV – all other versions translate it
‘Passover!’ It is the ‘Bible-correctors’ dream (HE THINKS) to find Easter instead of
Passover! Look a ‘mistake’ yahoo, whoopee doo, can-a-ya-believe-it! Now for some
STRANGE reason the ‘Christian-Bible-‘corrector’’ gets a real kick out of finding a so
called mistake in the word of God…’ Schadenfreude’ comes to town!!! (Perhaps
NOT the right context, but you get the gist!)
Acts 12v4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and
delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter
to bring him forth to the people.
‘Pascha’ is the Greek word for translated ‘Easter!’ Yet the word appears 29 times in
the NT, & 28 out of those 29 times, it appears as ‘Passover!’ Once it appears as
EASTER!
So is that wrong? Most would say YES!
‘MOST’ are WRONG!!!
1
Passover is a reference to when the Lord passed over Egypt (Exo 12v12)
Easter as we know it, comes from the PAGAN festival of ‘Astarte’ – also know as
‘Ishtar’ (pronounced Easter!) This festival was always held late April. The Jewish
Passover was held on April 14th!
After the Passover (Exo 12v13+14) we find 7 days which the Jews were to eat
unleavened bread (Exo 12v15). In Exo 12v18 we see that dates for the observance
were April 14th – 21st (Numbers 26v16-18)
In Num 26v16 we see that the Passover is only considered to be the 14th of the month!
On the 15th begins the ‘days of unleavened bread’ – Deut 16v1-8 (Abib = April)
therefore…
1) 14th April – Lamb killed i.e. Passover! No event following the 14th is ever
referred to as the Passover!
2) 15th – begins the days of unleavened bread – therefore Acts 12v3 – the
Passover has already GONE! Easter, the Pagan holiday, was just a few days
away!
3) Herod was a PAGAN Roman NOT a Jew!
4) Note - Passover was celebrated in the evening not at sunrise – Deut 16v1, Eze
8v13-16. In 2 Chron 8v13 we see that the feast of unleavened bread was one
of the three Jewish feasts each year!
So as it stands the AV is CORRECT & every other Bible PER-version is
WRONG…yet again!
Matt 27v22-50
Mark 15v12-37
Luke 23v32-46
John 19v15-30
So the passages we have just read mean SO MUCH to us, why???
Ro 5:6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the
ungodly.
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet
sinners, Christ died for us.
Ro 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is
risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession
for us.
1Co 15:3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that
Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
2Co 5:14 For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if
one died for all, then were all dead:
2Co 5:15 And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live
unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again.
Acts 13v26-39

Ro 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of
his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.
Ro 5:12 Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin;
and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Ro 5:14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that
had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of
him that was to come.
Ro 6:9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death
hath no more dominion over him.
Ro 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through
Jesus Christ our Lord.
1Co 15:21 For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of
the dead.
1Co 15:26 The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.
1Co 15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this
mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying
that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.
1Co 15:55 O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1Co 15:56 The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.
2Co 1:9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in
ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:
2Co 1:10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we
trust that he will yet deliver us;
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became
obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
2Ti 1:10 But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ,
who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light
through the gospel:
Heb 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the
suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God
should taste death for every man.
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he
also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy
him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Heb 2:15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime
subject to bondage.
1Pe 3:18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that
he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the
Spirit:
Re 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore,
Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Re 20:14 And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death.
Re 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no
more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for
the former things are passed away.
Ga 6:14 But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus
Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world.
