Precautions

1. National Central University Computer Center using the version of Open Webmail webmail system
version 2.53, mining LDAP server authentication [Link] on the external mail server (now
the system will automatically help new users to this set)
2. Can Not Receive Mails！！ Make sure you have new mail(s) in pop server.
Webmail server is just a UI not a pop server. Using external mailbox setting to get mails in pop
server.
External mail settings are as follows

3. Can Not Send Mail！！ The reason is your NewMail folder is beyond the limit.
Clean first and then move your new mails to other folders until reply icon shows.
4. You can not change password and also can not use network disk in this system.
5. The system default filter conditions are deleted please the user set the filter conditions by yourself.
6. User space are divided into two. One is NewMail folder, Others are another one.
7. The mail space of NewMail folder is 100 MB, Others are 1 GB.
8. Please not to use Chinese to name your folder, because Chinese may be hidden any control
code.
9. Suggestion: set ” Spam/Virus mail reserved day(s)” to 1 or more, instead of ”Delete at
Logout”, Same as ” Trash mail reserved day(s)”.
Case 1: Please click Reload (Window Function not webmail) when your window show nothing.
Case 2: Any Error information shows, please re-login by click ”OpenWebMail”

Case 3: No any information shows , please re-type [Link] in URL and re-login webmail
Case 4: Other problem, please email ncucc@[Link] with your another email and error information
you got.
10. When the browser is still in operation do not close your browser or click Other features in
order to avoid the confusion of the index file
11. delete unimportant letter clear until the warning window no longer appears when your space
are over use.. Do not ignore this may cause your original data is deleted (the system will be
deleted from your oldest data) and therefore can no longer login). If so, system manager will
delete all your mail and information you set!!
12. Rules of Webmail about sending mail：not exceed 120 per hour and not exceed 1200 per day，user
who broken rule will be disable webmail service. Max receiver per mail is 20.
