General Context: Year level with which the student teacher worked, special characteristics, nature and size
of groups, and a brief description of what the student teacher did (e.g. specific responsibilities, content areas
covered; whole class / groupwork)
The student teacher read a story to the kids (Simon and Molly plus Hester)_.there were 23 students
sitting on the carpet . She reviewed the parts of the story with the students.
More questions could be asked when showing the front cover. Seating students on the carpet can
be made in a different way so all of them can see and not interrupt her while reading.
Students should be ready to listen to the teacher before even starting the lesson
Students were fidgeting, were not listening because they could not see the story and started
bugging each other.
Observed Strengths:
Areas for Development: Asma has to work on her management skills, and control the kids
The techniques and strategies are not appropriate for the lesson and the level of the students. The lesson
was more teachers centered. Students were not engaged in any activities.

General Comments:
The activity was given to the students after the bell has rung. It took a long time for Asma to read the story
and did not check on the students’ understanding.
