The SMERT (Smoke and

Earthquake) Alarm System is a


warning and conveying device that
immediately alerts the residents of a
certain establishment, preferably high-
rise buildings in case of emergencies
such as fire and earthquake and
relays the crisis to calamity-response
departments such as The Bureau of
Fire, Red Cross and other local
government units.
