Scene 1:

INT: CORRIDOR
Josh is then seen walking up to Holly. When he is next to her,
he takes Hollys paper and compares it to his.

Josh:
Wicked we have all our frees together. (Pauses) Plus we’re in
the same biology class. This is gonna be the best year.

The two of them laugh.

Josh:
Look, I should probably go. Charlotte will be wondering where
I am.

When Josh mentions Charlotte, Holly looks disappointed.

Josh:
But I’ll see you during our free. (Josh starts walking off)

Holly:
Sure
The scene fades out.

Scene 2:
INT: CORRIDOR
Show students going to their lockers. Holly walks down-
tracking shot and goes to her locker to get her books for her
next lesson. Another girl appears next to her and goes to her
locker.

Katie:
Hey, what have you got now?

Holly:
Business and I’ve got training after.

Katie:
OK, see you later

Holly:
Bye

Katie walks off shortly followed by Holly.

Scene 3:
EXT: STREET
Holly is walking down the street, in sports kit, looking at
her phone. Josh shouts out to her whilst running to catch up
with her.
 Josh:
You had a good session today, you’re looking strong for next
game and coach is bound to give you captaincy after that
performance.

Holly:
Thanks, you didn’t have a bad session yourself.

Josh:
If you haven’t got too much work to do or anywhere you need to
be do you want to go grab a bite to eat?

Holly:
Sure. I’m not doing anything.

Cut to the two of them sat on a wall.

Josh:
How are you finding school at the moment?

Holly:
erm its ok I guess. It’s not going as well as I’d liked but
its ok.

Josh:
Oh whys that then?

Holly:
Just the amount of work I’ve got at the moment, all the essays
I have to write and stuff at home but you know me I’ll manage.
But anyway, enough about me, how are you and Charlotte? I
heard you had an argument at lunch today.

Josh:
Oh, it was nothing. It’s just Charlotte making a big deal out
of nothing like normal. (Holly laughs at this) but otherwise
its good. (the look on his face doesn’t say this)

Holly:
Well, by the look on your face I’d say that’s not the case!
What was Charlotte making a fuss about this time anyway.

Josh:
Just the fact that I want to have a life of my own and not
have to do everything with her all the time. There’s this
party at the weekend that I’ve been invited to and want to go
to but Charlotte isn’t going and she was getting annoyed that
I wanted to go without her.
 Holly:
I mean it’s your life, you can do what you want. But it’s your
relationship so do what you think is best for the two of you.
My bus is due in a minute so I need to go but I’ll message you
later and we’ll talk tomorrow because we’ve got double biology
first so I’ll see you in the morning.

(Holly gets up to leave)

Josh:
Bye, see you tomorrow.

Scene 4:
INT: BIOLOGY CLASS
The teacher is sat at the front of the class by a computer. They look
round with a confused look. Show through mid shot.

Teacher:
Josh do you know where Holly is? It’s not like her to be late.

Camera changes to a mid-shot of Josh sat at his desk, he looks

Josh:
(also confused)
Err, no, I don’t.

Josh texts Holly and this is shown on camera.

TEXT MESSAGE:
Josh: Hey, only me 😉
Where are you?
You OK? J x

Holly: Ill. H

Josh is then shown to have a worried look on his face but then
puts his phone down and gets on with the lesson. Scene then
fades to Holly who is at home lying on her bed looking upset.

SCENE 5:
INT: HOLLY’S BEDROOM
Holly’s sister Jessie then walks into the room and sits on
her bed. Holly then sits up and rests her head on her
shoulder.

Jessie:
It’s going to be ok Hol. Dad will be ok. They’ve caught it so
now they can start treating it.
 Holly:
But what if it’s too late?

Jessie:
You’ve got to stay positive. That’s what I’m doing. But we
will get through this Holly. (Slight pause) Together. (Jessie
then hugs her sister) You not going to school?

Holly:
No, I can’t face everyone right now.

Jessie:
OK, well I’ve got the day off today so if you want to talk I’m
here.

Holly:
Thanks Jessie

Scene then fades into next scene.

SCENE 6:
EXT: STREET
Over the shoulder shot of Holly walking down the road. Holly
is listening to music and keeps changing between track. We
hear the track she finally chooses as it is played over the
top of the image. A figure can be seen walking towards Holly.
The figure then comes into focus, its Josh. Holly stops the
music and the music being played over the top also stops.
Holly takes out her headphones.

Josh:
Hey, what happened to you today?

Holly:
Oh yeah, I had a dizzy spell this morning and my mum decided
that I wasn’t going to school.

Josh doesn’t look convinced which is shown through a close up.

Josh:
I missed you today in biology. Do you want me to send you my
notes?

Holly:
Aw that’s so sweet and yes please. Thank you.

Josh:
Oh, you missed the funniest thing during our free period
today. So, Freddie went up to Molly and…

(Holly stops Josh mid-way through his story)

(Holly doesn’t give Josh a chance to answer and walks off)

Josh:
(quietly and sort of to himself) Erm ok. See you tomorrow.

SCENE 7:
INT: CLASSROOM
Holly is sat at the table with books out looking at her phone.
Katie walks into shot.

Katie:
Hey how’s the leg?
Holly:
Yeah it’s not too bad. It could have been worse.
Katie:
What did you do?
Holly:
There is some slight ligament and cartilage damage, but now I’ve got
a whole load of intensive physio to deal with on top of revision and
exams.
Katie:
Does Sophie know? What’s she gonna say? You’re the school’s best
player. And haven’t you got the derby in the cup next month?
Holly:
I know. I love the derby I always play so much better then but the
physio said it’ll take at least six months to heal fully but…
Katie:
SIX MONTHS!!
Holly:
But they’ve said they’re gonna monitor it because I’ll be able to
come back to football before that but they don’t know when yet.
Katie:
Well you better get physioing then to be fit in time to make a
difference at the end of the season.
SCENE 8:
INT: CORRIDOR
Katie and Holly walk through the double doors at the end of
the corridor having come from class. They are laughing and
smiling and look very happy. They go to their lockers.
Holly:
I’m just gonna go to the toilet.

Katie:
OK
INT: TOILET
Scene then cuts to Holly on the toilet looking down at her
phone looking anxious. She then starts typing on her phone.

TEXT MESSAGE:
Holly: I can’t do this anymore J. H x

Jessie: Look, just try not to think about it. I’ll be home at
6 so we can talk then. J x

Holly: ok x

SCENE 9:
INT: CORRIDOR
Josh and Katie are walking down the corridor just behind
Holly. Holly looks very upset.

Josh:
Hey, do you know what’s wrong with Holly? Is she ok? She’s
been really quiet lately.

Katie:
No (shrugs shoulders)

Josh walks to Holly who is at her locker.

Josh:
Hey Hol. Are you OK? Do you want to have a chat?

Holly grabs Josh’s hand. They walk through double doors and
sit on a set of stairs.

Holly:
So basically…
(the scene then fades out and back in again with a black
screen in between for a couple of seconds)
(Holly looks as though she has been crying)
So now you know everything.
SCENE 10:
INT: CORRIDOR
Josh and Holly are walking down the corridor towards Holly’s
locker. Josh is supporting Holly to walk because she is still
limping. He is also carrying her books/folders for her. They
reach Holly’s locker.

Holly:
Thanks Josh, just put everything in there.

Josh puts the books and folders in Holly’s locker. Holly takes
some exercise books out of her bag and puts them in her locker
and takes some books out of the locker to put in her bag for
her next lessons. Alex has walked over to the two of them by
this point.

Alex:
Oh, look at you two. This looks rather cozy. (sarcastically)
What does Charlotte think about this?

Josh:
Alex don’t. Me and Holly are just friends and I’ve realized
how much I haven’t been there for Holly recently, so I’m
making up for it now. Charlotte will just have to deal with
the fact that I have other friends and want to spend time with
Holly.

Alex:
You know she’s not gonna like it. She will actually kill you.

Josh:
Well, she doesn’t need to know then does she?

Alex walks off. Holly has a disappointed look on her face and
is looking at the floor. Josh comforts Holly.
Josh:
Look don’t worry about what other people think and don’t worry
about Charlotte. I’ll deal with her.

Holly:
Josh there’s something I haven’t told you.

Josh:
What? What is it? Is it about your dad? Is he ok?

Holly:
No. It’s not my dad. He’s fine. Well, not fine but you know.
Anyway. Erm. It’s about my leg.
 Josh:
Please don’t tell me your out permanently.

Holly:
No Josh. It’s about how I got injured in the first place.

Josh:
Yeah, you picked it up at training, right? Pushed it too hard.

Holly:
No. (shaking her head) erm. This is actually quite hard for me
to tell you.

Josh:
It’s fine, just tell me.

Holly:
OK, well about a month ago. I was on the stairs coming out of
business and Charlotte was there. Waiting for me. She then
started shouting at me about how I wasn’t letting you have a
relationship together and was jealous and everyone could see
it. She started getting really angry and said I wasn’t a
proper friend. That’s when it happened.

Josh:
When what happened?

Holly:
(takes a deep breath in) she pushed me.

Josh:
Wait she did what!!! (completely shocked and gob smacked)
She’s taken it way to far this time. I’m gonna sort this.

Holly:
Josh no. Don’t worry about it.

Josh:
Holly, she put you out of action for who knows how long. She
doesn’t deserve to get away with this. She may think she’s
queen bee but that’s the final straw.

Josh storms off.

Holly:
(shouting after him) Josh! Josh wait!

Holly leaves after him.

Holly:
Thank you.

SCENE 12: RESULTS DAY

Holly:
This season has been the best. League champions and cup
winners. (Holding her medals that are hanging around her neck)

Josh:
Yeah, that sure was one way to mark your comeback! Scoring the
league winning goal! Plus, that cup win was thanks to you as
well. Miss captain (they laugh) I’m so proud of you. You
deserved it most out of everyone on the team with everything
you’ve been through this year.

Holly:
Thank you. I am gonna miss it though. But it’s time for the
next chapter and hopefully on to bigger and better things.

INT: COMMON ROOM

Josh and Holly are sat next to each other and look as though
they have been laughing. They are both holding pieces of
paper.

Josh:
I’m sorry I haven’t been there for you this year Hol. But I
will be for the next three. You can count on that.

Holly:
Don’t worry about it. Everything has turned out fine and were
off to university together so we’ve got the next three years
to spend together, support each other and wind each other up.

Josh:
(Shakes his head but is laughing/smiling) You’re the best
Holly. (Josh holds Holly’s hand)

Holly:
(sarcastically) I know.
The two then look at each other. Music starts playing.
The scene then fades out.
