Star Fall [Link] From the Star Fall website, I picked the
“Art/Music” game. In this activity the participant
is asked to pick from several different artist’s
paintings, I chose Vincent van Gogh. After
Reading his name aloud and sounding it out
the speaker reads aloud the word “himself”
and leaves a passage about Van Gogh for the
students or teacher to read. It then shows a
self portrait of the artist and asks the question
“does he look happy or sad?”. The farther
along you go into the activity the more you see
questions like this about his paintings. Finally
we come to a page about combing words to
make bigger words and this gives the children
the opportunity to make their own compound
words.
PBS: Arthur [Link] This game helps children with memory. The
[Link] game has Arthur’s little sister, DW, who needs
to get a glass of water from the bathroom.
However, she is trying not to wake her baby
sister. There are a series of blocks that you
click on in a path to the bathroom. You have to
remember which blocks have the noisy toys
underneath them. If you click on a box that has
a toy underneath it, it will wake her baby sister
up and you will lose a point.

are done, depending how many problems they
solves, is how many christmas lights they will
put on their house. They are then asked to
