Sustainability or sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the


present, without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Reusing is better than recycling
Reusing is better than recycling because it saves the energy and time that comes with having
to dismantle and re-manufacture products. It also significantly reduces waste and pollution
because it reduces the need for raw materials, saving both forests and water supplies
Shock load
A sudden or unexpected load that is imposed upon a system such as when a falling object hits
the ground. This force is exerted on both the moving object and the object being acted on.
