Cost estimation for construction site using ANDROID APP

This application is to provide a information of cost estimation for a building


using functional elements and integrated industries in it. It consider sample
parameters like floor measurements, no of rooms, square feet and selecting the
quality of the material needed the application calculates the cost of materials like
bricks, steel, cement, plywood, paint, wirecable and provides the total amount
information of various industries.
First the application allows the user to select the image of the land from
gallery or allows the mobile camera to capture the image of the land.
In the form layout the user has to specify the following details of the building before
choosing material quality. Number of floors to be built, number of rooms and square
feet of a building.
In the choose material quality the user can select the quality of material they
need. The cost estimating information is provided based on choices low, medium
and high quality.
Making calculations in the report window the entire information of materials
is displayed. The user can also share the information to other people.
This application was built using Android studio which uses android XML
and java language as front end. Android Studio is the official integrated
development environment (IDE) for Google's Android operating system, built on
JetBrains' IntelliJ IDEA software and designed specifically for Android
development. It is available for download on Windows, macOS and Linux based
operating systems. It is a replacement for the Eclipse Android Development Tools
(ADT) as primary IDE for native Android application development.
