1) Task constraints include date restrictions that can make tasks start or finish earlier or later, such as as soon as possible, finish no earlier than, etc. 2) Over allocation of resources occurs when work assigned to a resource exceeds their maximum units of time available. 3) Tracking a project involves using a baseline copy of the original plan to measure progress against a status date, and a progress line shows if tasks are ahead or behind schedule.

work amount of effort needed to carry out a task (hrs,days, week)
units is the % of work resource's time assigned to a task (hrs/day,day/week)
this can represent:
a. full time or part time work og a resource
b. multiples of resource
ex. % working time assigned units

50 8hrs/day 4hrs/day
200 8hrs/day 16hrs/day

1 ex. A painting job requires 80 hrs to finish if a painter can works 8 hrs/ day how long can he finish the job
