PROFILE OF OUR GROUP
Our group name is Paris Sisters. Kogiladevi A/P Maniam, Thineswary A/P Siva Naidu
and Sarmila A/P Thiagu are the members in this Paris Sisters group.
We three in same group because we have similar characteristics such as hardworking,
humour, innovative, creative, cooperative. Before we create the plastic money box, we
planned to do phone cover but that project not succeed. We never give up and work hard to
complete this project. Finally, we do our plastic money box as well as possible.
Besides that, we are also humour. We did not make the situation very stressful. We
were enjoy while doing the project. While doing this project, we were making jokes and get
fun. We were also creative and innovative. Mostly, people will throw the plastic bottle but we
innovate the plastic bottle into a money box. We use the colour paper to decorate the money
box. We never spend the money to buy any things to decorate the plastic money box. We
respect our group members opinion when doing this project. This attitude shows we’re more
cooperative.
RATIONALE OF THE
PRODUCT
Usually people will throw the plastic bottle after used but we innovate the plastic bottle
into money box. Plastic bottle is very cheaper than other common storage materials, such as
glass, metal and wood. Plastic bottle also light thus, it can take over everywhere. Plastic bottle
is small in size so we can put it anywhere we wish. Plastic bottle is a long lasting object. Plastic
bottle is difficult to decompose by bacteria. Thus, we reuse the plastic bottles on order to
reduce the pollution and save the environment. Besides that, plastic bottle also very attractive.
Nowadays plastic bottles are different in shapes and size. Thus, we can make different shapes
of money box.

INFORMATION OF THE
PRODUCT
Find a suitable plastic bottle with a lid. Empty the plastic bottle. Wash and dry the inside.
Find the largest coin and use the coin as a guide, trace the outline for the slot opening with a
pencil. Using the outline traced, cut a slit on the top of the bottle for coins using a box cutter.
Using the same coin, test the slot that have cut on the top of the bottle to be sure it’s big
enough. Using a ruler, measure the plastic bottle so we can wrap it with the right amount of
paper. Using a coloured paper of our choice, cut a long wide to wrap around the bottle. Use
glue to hold paper in place on the bottle. Draw the petals with the paper of your choice. Once
have cut the petals, bend back the bottom part of the petals and glue it to the upper part of the
bottle. Cut a small size paper in a round shape and glue it on the lid of the bottle. When the
glue is dry, the money box will be ready to use.
We can add decorations like buttons, ribbons and jewels to make it more beautiful and
attractive. Use hot glue if the decoration is heavy or will not stay in place with regular glue.
CHARACTERISTICS OF
THE PRODUCT
The main characteristic of this product is made up by plastic. It can be use for several
times. This product is attractive, trendy and sturdy. This product is mainly made to use as
money box. This will be a fun way to get children involved in saving loose change with bottle
money box. All the things used to make this product are recycled objects. The plastic will be
very lightweight, so add decorative such as ribbons, buttons and jewels to provide a weighted
base. This product cost very cheap compared to the ceramic or metal money box. This can
be made by everybody as our hobby.
