My Steps for Practice and Deliver

1. I start by making sure I have good anchors. The anchors are

the central phrases and slides.

2. I write out the entire thing word-by-word. As you speak, you may
not repeat it exactly as you wrote it (which is fine), but writing it
word for word will give you a feel for the transitions and
rhythm of the speech.

3. I practice it in segments around the anchors. I will usually switch to a slide and present just
that part until Ive got it. Once I feel comfortable in the parts, I then start to string them
together. I also start my practice multiple days in advance.

4. Once I feel Im done practicing, I practice multiple times more. Our brains seek patterns. Do
it enough, and you brain will internalize all or nearly-all the patterns on an unconscious level.

5. When I finally go, I always have a copy of what Im going to say, but my goal is to never look
at it.
