Content

Activity Teacher will explain about the solar system and follow with a
(humorous, yet informative) video about planets

Following the video, students will play an online game to review


knowledge they learned about the solar system

Lastly, the teacher will explain the the project of making a postcard
from space or a comic about space. Students will use information
found in research, and the web 2.0 tool, comic life to create a project
about the planet they choose.

Students will use pictures of the planets found online or in a folder


the teacher has already created which will be labeled with their
planet. Students will also use a webcam to upload a picture of
themselves to their postcard/comic .

Information from research should include the following information


about their chosen planet.
Does the planet have any moons?
What is the surface and the atmosphere of the planet like?
What is the planets order from the sun?
What is the planets order in terms of size among the other planets?
Does the planet support life?

product In my example, I made my comic from Mars. I used a picture of my son when he was
in fourth grade. I also had him help me choose bubbles ,captions, and pictures to see if
site was user friendly for kids. I think it was a fun site and would use it for teaching
older kids.
