SUMMARY
This study aimed to determine problems and prospects in achieving efficient
implementation of Katarungang Pambarangay Law as perceived by barangay officials
and two selected residents in selected barangays in Batangas City. The measure of the
efficiency of the implementation of the said law was based on the. The descriptive
method was used in the study, utilizing questionnaire and interview as research tools.
The results highlighted the level of compliance of the barangay officials on the
procedures provided by the law in resolving. Likewise, the research identified the factors
that affect the implementation of the said law and the problems encountered by the

barangay officials.
Based on the findings, the researchers proposed measures for the better or more
improved implementation of the Katarungang Pambarangay Law.
Subject of the Study
Since the researchers studied the Katarungang Pambarangay Law, the subject of
the study was the 108 respondents composed of barangay officials and two selected
residents of the selected barangays in Batangas City namely Barangay 21, Barangay
Balagtas and Barangay Cuta.
