Compressive Strength of Solid Blocks

The quality plan outlines tests conducted on solid concrete blocks according to IS 2185-Part 1-2005 standards. Testing was done on 5 blocks of size 400x200x100 mm and 5 blocks of size 400x200x200 mm to determine water absorption, density, compressive strength and grade. The test results found the 400x200x100 mm blocks met the requirements for Grade C(5.0) concrete with an average compressive strength of 12.53 N/mm2. The 400x200x200 mm blocks met Grade C(4.0) requirements with an average compressive strength of 4.18 N/mm2.
