General Information

Regularisation of Plot is of two stages. In the first stage, the layout is to be regularised by
CMDA/LPA/Regional Deputy Directors, of Town and Country Planning Department concerned
who will examine and issue an in-principle approved layout framework plan to the concerned
local body. In the second stage, the local body concerned will issue regularisation order and
regularisation plan for the plot as per the in-principle approved layout framework plan after
confirming the ownership of the plot and collection of the balance regularisation charge including
other applicable charges.

Important Information to note before filing the Application

This online application comprises of two parts :

I. In the first part, the applicant shall complete the registration.

II. In the second part, the applicant shall choose the appropriate field of Regularisation i.e.

o Application for Regularisation of Plot in a Layout


Layout means :-

Division of land into plots exceeding 8 (eight) in numbers in Chennai Metropolitan


Planning Area.

Division of land into plots by introducing a new road or street in areas other than
Chennai Metropolitan Planning Area.

NOTE : Separate application to be filed for each plot

o Application for Regularisation of Plot in a Sub-Division
Sub-Division means :-

Division of land into plots not exceeding eight in numbers in the Chennai Metropolitan
Planning Area.

Division of land abutting an existing road or street into plots without introducing any
new road or street in areas other than Chennai Metropolitan Planning Area.

NOTE : Separate application to be filed for each plot
