Reflections on Observation Task 1: Differentiating Centers

1. What are classroom learning centers? The classroom includes five different
centers and each center with different materials. The five centers are: Since
area in this center there are water-sand- different animals-rocks-plants and
posters about topics related to since like four seasons, The second center is
drama and it have fancy dresses like doctor clothes and other dramatic
materials, The third center is math it have geometric forms and numbers,
The fourth center is reading and it include books and stories and the last
center is drawing center .

2. What is the purpose of classroom learning centers? The purpose of


classroom learning centers is the students can learn while they are playing
and have fun with their classmates also the children learn how to be
independence and how to work in pairs and with groups.

3. What is the role of the students while engaged during learning centers?

The role of the students while engaged during learning centers is to be aware
about the information or the rules that the teacher gives them and to keep
themselves and the other safe for example if they use scissors and dont
push each other and finally tidy up when they finish.

4. What is the role of the teacher as the students are engaged during learning
centers? The role of the teacher as the students are engaged during learning
centers is to inform the student what they have to do and she remind them
about the time and to teach them to tidy up when they finish.

5. Do you feel it is important to offer tasks that are developmentally


appropriate for all student ability levels? Why / Why not? Yes, I feel that it is
important to offer tasks that are developmentally appropriate for all the
student ability levels because not all of the students have the same level of
ability and different challenges and the teacher should be aware about each
one of the student ability to provide the best task to him/her.
