Yes I have selected my group member. We are doing it together as we did our
mini project together and are comfortable with each other.

What are your expectations from doing a BE project? Do you want to gain
research experience/ industrial experience/just get a degree?
Industrial experience.
What is your ambition? What are your short term and long term future plans? Do
you intend to join IT based company, research based company, small company,
big corporate, or intend going for PG or whatever you get?
I want to do a good project which would be innovative and useful to [Link]
BE am planning to apply for IAS.
Do you intend giving GATE/GRE/CAT/TOEFL or any other entrance exam? If so
when? If you plan to give it during BE, please justify how it is not going to affect

I would be giving the IAS entrance but only after I complete my BE.

Saurav [Link] knows how to stand up in life again after having a number of
breakdowns.

Some times study or hang out with friends.
Technical Strengths:
Which is your favorite subject and why? What do you like about it the most?
Uptill now my favourite subject has been analog circuits.
What are your strength and weaknesses in terms of your academics and
personality? Do you really understand C pointers?
M not comfortable with C. I like programming in assembly. My academics are
OK,not very great. But I like organizing events and was the chairman of the IEEE
student sub-section,VIIT.

Yes I have both of the above.

Project Topic Selection:
Do you want to involve any hardware? Have you had any experience in
designing (if you are from electronics)?
I like working with hardware more. I know how to use protel and altium.
Tell me about your projects so that I can make best use of your past experience.
In my mini project we automated a centrifugal pump to plot its dynamic
characteristics.
Do you have a project topic in mind? Please attach an abstract in that case or
give details as to why you choose that topic.
Nothing in mind as of now.
Are you looking for a company name to be attached to your project? If so, why?
Yes we would prefer it. Its good to have someone asscociated with you.
Would you be willing to sign the sponsor agreement? If no, that would restrict the
choice of the project topic if you haven’t decided your project topic.

A
Option A: Research Based projects. Recommended for students who want
to do MS.
If you want to gain research experience do you have any particular research
interests? If so please mention it so we can restrict the project topic to the
research area of your interest? Why do you want to do research?
Do you intend to publish in IEEE conferences? If yes, can you afford to share
some of the expenses involved? An US based IEEE conference publication
typically costs $1000-$5000. As a student, you will have to pay a discounted
share of Rs10,000 – Rs 20,000 depending on location of conference. If the IEEE
conference is in India, it will cost you Rs.5000 and you have take care of the
expenses and attend it as well.
Do you like Math? Especially did you have fun with MIII?
M3 wasn’t too great,it was OK.
Have you used MATLAB before? If so, attach a sample code which you have
written.

Option B: IT Programming Projects. Recommended for students who want
to do job after BE.
What field of IT would you like to work in, if you have any preference?
Which programming language do you intend to use and why?
Are you familiar with .NET environment? Which IDE do you use if you program a
lot?
Do you want to work in Windows or Linux environment? If linux do you have linux
installed at home?
C# is usually the programming language for most of the IT projects. Do you know
C#?
Are you comfortable with Data Structures? Have you used any databases
before?
Option C: Mix of both. For students who want to keep options open.
Use this option only when you know C# already or know exactly what you need
to do. Fill out answers in both the above options in that case.
Communication Skills:
