Basics of Integration and Rules

1. Integration is the reverse process of differentiation. The basic rules of integration include: - Integrating a constant multiple of a function is the constant multiple of the integral of the function. - Integrating a sum of terms is the sum of the integrals of the individual terms. 2. Some common integrals: - ∫ x^n dx = x^(n+1)/(n+1) + c - ∫ a*x^n dx = a*x^(n+1)/(n+1) + c 3. To integrate algebraic expressions, integrate each term separately and combine like terms.
