Scene 1: SCHOOL GROUNDS/ CORRIDOR

School grounds shown through establishing shot.

Bell rings for lessons.
Children file out of classrooms and then cut to a corridor.
Show Holly come out of the room and waits outside holding a piece of paper.
Others file out behind her and walk down the corridor.
Josh also comes out of the classroom and stands with her.
He compares both his and her timetable.
Josh: Wicked we have all our frees together. (Pauses) Plus were in the same biology class. This is
gonna be the best year.
Whilst the two are talking, the boys football team and a group of girls walk out the classroom and
then form a group just down the corridor.
After Josh finishes speaking, Charlotte walks up and drags him away.
Charlotte: Come on babe, we need to go. Charlotte gives Holly a dodgy look as they walk away.
As Josh is halfway down the corridor he turns to say bye to Holly by sticking his hand up in a half-
attempted wave.

Scene 2: CORRIDOR
Show students going to their lockers.
Holly walks down- tracking shot and goes to her locker to get her books for her next lesson.
Another girl appears next to her and goes to her locker.
Katie: hey, what have you got now?
Holly: business and Ive got training after.
Katie: ok see you later
Holly: bye
Katie walks off shortly followed by Holly.

Scene 3: FOOTBALL PITCH

Holly is now in football kit and with the girls football team. The girls are having random
conversations amongst themselves.
The boys football team are seen in the background having a conversation before practise starts.
Holly then turns to look over at Josh and when she turns away she looks at the floor.
Sports Girl: You alright Hol?
Holly: yeah, Im good, thanks.
Medium shot of the coach.
Coach: (half shouts) Right, lets bring it in.
The two teams are surrounding the coach.
Coach: the coach talks about the teams successes from their last games and the cup/championship
games that they have coming up. Right lets get going. Start warming up and well start in 5 minutes.
The two groups then run off to start warming up but they do this in their teams.
The scene then changes to the two teams doing drills and then eventually the teams playing a match
against each other but they are now mixed.
As the two teams are heading into the changing rooms, Josh runs up to Holly and pulls her to the
side.
Two shot with the rest of the teams filling into the changing rooms behind them.
Josh: you had a good session today, youre looking strong for next game and coach is bound to give
you captaincy after that performance.
Holly: Thanks, you didnt have a bad session yourself.
Josh: If you havent got too much work to do or anywhere you need to be do you want to go grab a
bit to eat after?
Holly: Sure. Im not doing anything.
Josh: Cool, dont take too long. I dont want to have to wait forever like last time.
Holly smirks as she walks into the changing room.

Scene 4: STREET/ PARK

The two are walking down the road having a conversation about the games theyve got coming up
and how their local team, who they both support are doing in the league.
The two are then sat on a bench in a park having their food.
Josh: how are you finding school at the moment?
Holly: erm its ok I guess. Its not going as well as Id liked but its ok.
Josh: oh whys that then?
Holly: just the amount of work Ive got at the moment, all the essays I have to write and stuff at
home but you know me Ill manage. But anyway, enough about me, how are you and Charlotte? I
heard you had an argument at lunch today.
Josh: oh, it was nothing. Its just charlotte making a big deal out of nothing like normal. (Holly laughs
at this) but otherwise its good. (the look on his face doesnt say this)
Holly: Well, by the look on your face Id say thats not the case! What was Charlotte making a fuss
about this time anyway.
Josh: just the fact that I want to have a life of my own and not have to do everything with her all the
time. Theres this party at the weekend that Ive been invited to and want to go to but Charlotte isnt
going and she was getting annoyed that I wanted to go without her.
Holly: I mean its your life, you can do what you want. But its your relationship so do what you think
is best for the two of you. My bus is due in a minute so I need to go but Ill message you later and
well talk tomorrow because weve got double biology first so Ill see you in the morning. (Holly gets
up to leave)
Josh: Bye, see you tomorrow.

Scene 5: BIOLOGY CLASS

Show the class with the teacher at the front. Josh has a spare seat next to him.
Teacher: Josh?
Josh: Here Sir
Teacher: Sophie?
Sophie: Here Sir
Teacher: Ollie?
Ollie: Here Sir
Teacher: Emily?
Emily: Here Sir
Teacher: Holly?........Holly?... Camera changes to a mid-shot of the teacher. Josh do you know where
Holly is?
Camera changes to a mid-shot of Josh sat at his desk, he looks to the space next to him
Josh: No Sir, I dont. Josh texts Holly and this is shown on camera.
TEXT MESSAGE:

Josh: Hey, only me

Where are you?
Jx
Holly: Ill. H
Josh is then shown to have a worried look on his face but then puts his phone down and gets on with
the lesson.
Scene then fades to Holly who is at home lying on her bed looking upset.

SCENE 6: HOLLYS BEDROOM

Hollys sister Jessie then walks into the room and sits on her bed.
Holly then sits up and rests her head on her shoulder.
Jessie: Its going to be ok Hol. Dad will be ok. Theyve caught it so now they can start treating it.
Holly: but what if its too late?
Jessie: youve got to stay positive. Thats what Im doing. But we will get through this Holly. (Slight
pause) Together. (Jessie then hugs her sister) You not going to school?
Holly: No, I cant face everyone right now.
Jessie: ok, well Ive got the day off today so if you want to talk Im here.
Holly: Thanks Jessie
Scene then fades into next scene.

SCENE 7: STREET
Over the shoulder shot of Holly walking down the road.
Holly is looking at her phone messaging Jessie.
Holly is listening to music and keeps changing between track.
We hear the track she finally chooses as it is played over the top of the image.
A figure can be seen walking towards Holly.
The figure then comes into focus, its Josh.
Holly stops the music and the music being played over the top also stops.
Holly takes out her headphones.
Josh: Hey, what happened to you today?
Holly: Oh yeah, I had a dizzy spell this morning and my mum decided that I wasnt going to school.
Josh doesnt look convinced which is shown through a close up.
Josh: I missed you today in biology. Do you want me to send you my notes?
Holly: Aw thats so sweet and that would be so helpful. Thank you.
Josh: oh, you missed the funniest thing during our free period today. So, Freddie went up to Molly
and
Holly: (Holly stops Josh mid-way through his story) Josh Ive got to go but Ill talk to you tomorrow
ok? (Holly doesnt give Josh a chance to answer and walks off)
Josh: (quietly and sort of to himself) Erm ok. See you tomorrow.

SCENE 8: CORRIDOR
Long shot of corridor and students.
Holly walks through the doors at the end of the corridor.
She is limping as she walks with her many folders.
Football boy: trained too hard again Jackson?
Holly gives a slight nod to the boy
Holly: (to herself) yeah, something like that.
Holly is now at her locker putting away her folders.
Katie appears next to Holly.
Katie: hey, hows the leg?
Holly: yeah, its not too bad. It could have been worse.
Katie: What did you do?
Holly: theres some slight ligament and cartilage damage, but now Ive got six months of intensive
physio to deal with on top of revision and exams. (holly runs her hands through her hair, stressed)
Sophie is then seen running up to the pair.
Sophie: Holly Ive just heard. Please tell me it isnt true. Youre our best player, you cant be injured.
We need you for all our games both league and cup if we want to do well this season.
Holly: Sophie, calm down. The physio said itll take at least six months to heal fully but
Sophie: (butting in) six months!! (shocked)
Holly: but theyve said theyre going to keep a close eye on it because I can come back to football
before that but theyre not sure when yet.
Sophie: ok. That makes me feel a bit better. But you have to be fit for the derby in the cup next
month.
Holly: look, I cant promise anything, but Ill try. You know how much I want to play it that derby but
if the doctors say Im not fit enough then it wont happen.
Sophie: Well, you better get physioing then so youre fit in time, hadnt you.
The three of them are laughing as the scene then fades out.

SCENE 9: CORRIDOR/TOILET
Katie and Holly walk through the double doors at the end of the corridor having come from class.
They are laughing and smiling and look very happy.
They go to their lockers.
Holly: Im just gonna go to the toilet.
Katie: Ok
Scene then cuts to Holly on the toilet looking down at her phone looking anxious.
She then starts typing on her phone.
TEXT MESSAGE:
Holly: I cant do this anymore J. H x
Jessie: Look, just try not to think about it. Ill be home at 6 so we can talk then. J x
Holly: ok x
SCENE 10: COURTYARD
Some of the football team and some of the other students, including Holly, Josh and Katie are sat
around having a conversation. Josh is opposite Holly. Katie is sat next to Josh.
The group are now standing up but holly is sat down and they are laughing about a joke that one of
the boys had made, everyone except Holly.
Holly is looking down at the ground and Josh notices this. He nudges Katie.
Josh: hey, do you know whats wrong with Holly? Is she ok? Shes been really quiet lately.
Katie: no (shrugs shoulders)
Josh walks round to Holly.
Josh: hey Hol. Are you OK? Do you want to have a chat?
Holly stands up and grabs Joshs hand. They walk away from the group to have a conversation. They
are standing opposite each other.
Holly: so basically (the scene then fades out and back in again with a black screen in between for a
couple of seconds) (Holly looks as though she has been crying) so now you know everything.
Josh: oh my god, Holly. Why didnt you tell me any of this before? I would have been there for you,
supported you because thats what friends are for. No wonder youre not coping that well, youve
been under so much pressure recently. Well no more. I havent been there for you when youve
needed me most, so Im going to be here now. Whenever you need to talk just call me and Ill be
there. I havent been a good friend to you because Ive been caught up in all this drama with
Charlotte, but from now on, I will be, no matter how much Charlotte doesnt like it. Im going to help
and support you through all of this until we leave. Im gonna be there the whole time for the rest of
the year, right by your side, helping you through. Were gonna get through this Hol (pauses)
together. (when he says together he grabs her hand)
Holly: (quietly) thank you
Josh: come here. (the two of them end up hugging)
Holly is curled up in her jumper.

SCENE 11: CORRIDOR

Josh and Holly are walking down the corridor towards Hollys locker.
Josh is supporting Holly to walk because she is still limping. He is also carrying her books/folders for
her.
They reach Hollys locker.
Holly: Thanks Josh, just put everything in there.
Josh puts the books and folders in Hollys locker. Holly takes some exercise books out of her bag and
puts them in her locker and takes some books out of the locker to put in her bag for her next
lessons. Alex has walked over to the two of them by this point.
Alex: oh, look at you two. This looks rather cozy. (sarcastically) What does Charlotte think about
this?
Josh: Alex dont. Me and Holly are just friends and Ive realized how much I havent been there for
Holly recently, so Im making up for it now. Charlotte will just have to deal with the fact that I have
other friends and want to spend time with Holly.
Alex: you know shes not gonna like it. She will actually kill you.
Josh: well, she doesnt need to know then does she?
Alex walks off
Holly has a disappointed look on her face and is looking at the floor.
Josh comforts Holly
Josh: look dont worry about what other people think and dont worry about Charlotte. Ill deal with
her.
Holly: Josh theres something I havent told you.
Josh: what? What is it? Is it about your dad? Is he ok?
Holly: no. Its not my dad. Hes fine. Well, not fine but you know. Anyway. Erm. Its about my leg.
Josh: please dont tell me your out permanently.
Holly: no josh. Its about how I got injured in the first place.
Josh: yeah, you picked it up at training, right? Pushed it too hard.
Holly: no (shaking her head) erm. This is actually quite hard for me to tell you.
Josh: its fine, just tell me.
Holly: ok, well about a month ago. I was on the stairs coming out of business and Charlotte was
there. Waiting for me. She then started shouting at me about how I wasnt letting you have a
relationship together and was jealous and everyone could see it. She started getting really angry and
said I wasnt a proper friend. Thats when it happened.
Josh: when what happened?
Holly: (takes a deep breath in) she pushed me.
Josh: wait she did what!!! (completely shocked and gob smacked) Shes taken it way to far this time.
Im gonna sort this.
Holly: josh no. Dont worry about it.
Josh: holly, she put you out of action for who knows how long. She doesnt deserve to get away with
this. She may think shes queen bee but thats the final straw.
Josh storms off.
Holly: (shouting after him) Josh! Josh wait!
Holly leaves after him.

SCENE 12: COMMON ROOM

Josh storms in closely followed by Holly. Everyone goes quiet.
Holly goes to stand with Katie. Josh goes over to Charlotte.
Katie: you ok? Whats happened?
Holly shakes her head.
Josh: Charlotte can I have a word.
Charlotte: Cant it wait? Im talking to the girls.
Josh: No. It cant.
Charlotte stands up and the two of them move to the side.
Jack: guys carry on talking. Theres nothing to see here.
Josh: Charlotte, do you want to explain to me how Holly got her injury.
Charlotte goes to speak.
Josh: and dont even bother trying to deny it. Shes told me everything.
Charlotte: well, shes clearly lying.
Josh: and why would Holly do that. (josh looks annoyed at Charlotte)
Charlotte: to break us up. Obviously. She just jealous.
Josh: I know Holly. I have done for years and after the amount of times she been injured, shes not
going to purposely injure herself and then create a whole story surrounding the injury to break us
up. (getting louder) (people start to become quiet again and look over) Do you know why? Because
shes actually a nice, kindhearted person, unlike you. (even louder) (everyone is silent at this point) I
dont care what you have to say Charlotte I just want to know why. Why would you want to hurt one
of my best friends? Shes not been able to train properly and has had to miss crucial matches when
shes one of the schools best players. I just dont understand why Char?
Charlotte: I was jealous. Jealous of the friendship you have with her. Youd rather spend time with
her than me and I didnt like it. Im sorry.
Josh: that makes it ok does it? No Charlotte. You pushed her down the stairs. You need to accept
what youve done. Youre a bully and a monster. Ive never met anyone like you. Were done.
Josh starts to walk off.
Charlotte: (practically shouting) Josh. (josh stops walking) If you walk out of those doors it will be the
biggest mistake of your life.
Josh: (Josh turns around) No. it wont. It will be the best because Ill get away from you.
Charlotte looks shocked.
Josh carries on walking out. Holly follows him.
OUTSIDE THE COMMON ROOM
Holly: thank you
Josh: no problem.
They hug.
SCENE 13: FOOTBALL PITCH
CHANGING ROOMS
The girls football team are all sat round listening to the coach.
Whilst the coach is talking she looks round at the different players and the camera pans round the
team.
Coach: Right girls. Todays the day. If we win this, we win the league. And after today, weve got one
game left together as a team. The up final on Saturday, but dont think about that today just think
about today. Todays game. You all know what you need to do, what your role is, so just go out there
and show them what were made of and that we deserve the title. Ready 123
Everyone: hoo (deeply)
Coach: lets go!
Everyone stands up and people start saying lets do this, lets go.
FOOTBALL PITCH
Coach: Holly I know how much you wanted to play today but Im going to save you for Saturday. If
we need you, Im going to put you on during the second half, but only if you feel fit enough because
you havent played a match in a while. Just let me know ok?
Holly: sure
Its the second half and the score is 0-0, with 5 minutes left. The coach looks worried. She looks over
to Holly and gives her the thumbs up. Holly nods. The coach waves Holly towards her. Holly is now
stood with the coach. One of the other girls comes off and Holly goes on. The coach pats the other
girls back and the two girls high five as they switch. The game restarts and the team are on the front
foot. Holly gets given the ball and goes towards goal. She crosses it to another player who crosses it
back. Holly smacks it in the back of the net and everyone runs over to her and hugs her, all the
students watching cheer. The coach looks very happy and gives Holly a thumbs up. The game
restarts. The referee blows for time. Everyone starts cheering. The team are hugging. People say well
done to Holly. Josh comes over.
Josh: Well thats one way to mark your comeback! (the two of them smile and laugh) Im so proud of
you. You deserve it.
The team the collect the trophy.

SCENE 14: RESULTS DAY

ROAD
Josh and Holly are walking to school to collect their results.
Holly: this season has been the best. League champions and cup winners.
Josh: that cup win was thanks to you as well. Miss captain (they laugh)
Holly: Im gonna miss it though. But its time for the next chapter and hopefully on to bigger and
better things.
COMMON ROOM
Other students and teachers are around. Most people look very happy but some also look a little
nervous. The students are all holding pieces of paper. Josh and Holly both have an envelope in their
hands.
Josh: ready?
Holly: ready.
They both open the envelopes and look at them for a few seconds to take in the information.
Holly: I got them. I got what I needed.
Josh: same. I cant believe were gonna be going to the same uni, Hol. Were gonna have the best
time.
The two of them walk out hugging each other.
PARTY
There is loud music playing in the background so the characters have to speak quite loudly.
Josh: Im sorry I havent been there for you this year Hol. But I will be for the next three. You can
count on that.
Holly: dont worry about it. Everything has turned out fine and were off to university together so
weve got the next three years to spend together, support each other and wind each other up.
Josh: (shakes his head but is laughing/smiling) Youre the best Holly.
Holly: (sarcastically) I know.
The two have their heads touching.
The scene then fades out.
